Background / History

Sky City was founded after Qin Yuan selected the abandoned An Chong City as the base for his new force. The site lay in a demon-infested wasteland between the Southern Ridge and West Ridge; Tang Yue handled the required procedures, while Feng Ling'er led reconstruction efforts. Qin Yuan named the new territory after Tianshan, replacing “mountain” with “city.” 177

The territory became usable after the Magic Wolf Clan and White Demon Eagle Tribe left the area, allowing Qin Yuan to secure it before other interested factions could purchase it. 209 Its early reconstruction retained the old city’s foundation while combining ancient architectural styling with modern magical technology. 210

Sky City's sudden appearance attracted families and rogue cultivators who established shops, residences, and business operations without permission. Qin Yuan initially allowed the encroachment to stimulate development, then seized control of the infiltrators through the Star Whisper Heavenly Tree and the God Devouring Larvae. The Wu Family and several other families subsequently integrated into Sky City, transforming it into a major regional force. 211 216 220

Huaxia's Imperial Capital later warned outside organizations not to interfere with Sky City, effectively placing it under official protection. 221 Its territory, infrastructure, and military strength continued expanding until it became an official representative force and a major power in the Magic World. 470 654

Territory and Layout

Sky City originally covered nearly 50 square kilometers within its walls, with an additional 150 square kilometers outside them, for a total of roughly 200 square kilometers. 210 Its territory later expanded with official support to an area comparable to a province, and eventually encompassed several hundred kilometers around Sky Abyss Forest. 469 664

Urban Design

Sky City combines ancient-style low buildings with taller modern structures, creating an intentionally blended aesthetic rather than a separation between old and new. Its gray-white paved streets, obsidian borders, decorative walls, shops, and residences were largely built during its early reconstruction. 210 211

The city is divided into three progressively larger zones:

Sky Abyss Forest

Sky Abyss Forest is Sky City's central sanctuary and the location of Qin Yuan's residence, Sky Abyss Garden. 212 It is anchored by the Star Whisper Heavenly Tree, whose roots spread beneath the city and provide protection, environmental regulation, and cultivation benefits. 212 334 605

• Heavenly Spirit Treasure Lake — Sky Abyss Lake was transformed with the Earth Sacred Spring and Sacred Spring Jade Stones. It nourishes the forest and gradually improves Sky City's cultivation environment. 334
