Background

Apasi is the third princess of the Snake Scorpion Empire and the daughter of Empress Medusa. With Empress Medusa nearing death and the empire’s military power largely controlled by Apasi’s elder sisters, Sissina and Euryale, she fled the empire rather than face an internal struggle she was unlikely to survive. 539 542

When Qin Yuan encounters her in the wilderness, Apasi disguises herself as a kidnapped human girl who escaped from mages raising a Little Medusa. Her actual objective is to gain Qin Yuan’s trust, enslave him through her Medusa abilities, and seize Sky City as the power base needed to oppose her sisters. Qin Yuan sees through both her identity and intentions, but deliberately plays along. 537 539

Her identity is eventually exposed to Ling Ling, who correctly identifies her as a Medusa through intuition. Apasi remains in Sky City, where Ling Ling offers protection and access to the Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python Bloodline in exchange for her service until Ling Ling reaches Archmage Perfection. 562 563

Apasi has a petite, childlike human appearance that helps her pass as an ordinary young girl. She is described as exceptionally beautiful, with fair skin, bright eyes, and a naturally bewitching presence. 537 559
