Krauser and Kirk had fought to a standstill. Krauser knew Kirk was no slouch in close combat, and with three beautiful women behind him, it would be best to let them come closer before fighting again.

Kirk had lost a fair amount of Health Points in the fight and was slowly recovering, so he made some idle conversation. "Krauser, you're a loyal supporter of the Umbrella Corporation. Why have you come to curry favor with Sadler? You seem to serve Whistler just like Ada does. You've got quite a few bosses, don't you?"
Krauser glanced at the three curvaceous, beautifully dressed women approaching and sneered. "That's my choice. Whatever I do, I have only one goal: to revive the Umbrella Corporation!"
"The Umbrella Corporation has done plenty of terrible things!" Kirk said. "They mass-produced bioweapons and experimented on living people!"
Krauser scoffed. "Naive! Do you really think it's that simple? How could a mere commercial organization like Umbrella have the power to stand against the government? Someone was pulling the strings all along. Whether it was the government or Umbrella, we were all just pawns."
Kirk was startled and pressed him. "What? What force is behind it all?"
