Kirk seemed to have eyes in the back of his head and had been ready for this. With a single leap, he dodged the tail spike and seized the chance to drive his dagger into Sadler's neck.
The instant he hit, he saw the battle log.
"You used Throat Cut on Final Boss Sadler."
"Sadler took double damage from a Vital Part hit."
"Sadler took double damage from a skill attack."
"Sadler took 1,200 points of damage."
Kirk's heart lurched.
He wasn't surprised that the damage was too low. He was surprised that it was too high!
Even Krauser's defense had been far higher than Sadler's!
As the Final Boss, Sadler was definitely no pushover. The only way to balance things out was for Sadler to have far greater offensive power than Krauser.
Sure enough, just as Kirk landed, Sadler's tail spike swept him up and dragged him bodily toward the cult leader.
Sadler immediately opened his enormous mouth.
A ball of flame burned inside, taking the shape of the Lost Light Emblem as it prepared to blast Kirk!
Sadler was about to take him out. Kirk had seen him use Sound Wave Attack to stun his enemies before; now he had another new Killing Move, the emblem he spat from his mouth.
Kirk hacked at the tail spike with his dagger, but it did no good. Sadler's tail was as hard as an anaconda's, and the flaming emblem shot out!
At the critical moment, Ashley used her ability to control the Parasite, making Sadler hesitate. Kirk seized the chance to roll away, but the flaming emblem still caught half of him, scorching half an imprint onto his chest.
Sadler held the flaming emblem in his mouth and mumbled, "What a shame. But first, have a taste of the greatness
