"Watch out for those threads! Don't let them spray you!" Kirk shouted to Leon. "We don't have many people left!"

At last, Leon's protagonist-level powers of observation came in handy. "There's a lightning rod here. If we rescue Ada and let the rod draw the lightning onto Sadler, couldn't we win quickly?"

Kirk smiled wryly. "Sadler is the master here. Why wouldn't he know to avoid it? It's not very feasible."

Despite saying that, Kirk suddenly came up with an idea.

He roared, "Ashley, control Mori! Leon, draw Sadler's attention! I'll rescue Ada!"

Mori, under control, glared red-eyed and roared as he charged forward. Ashley pointed with her little hand, and the Salazar family's Seal and the whistle both came into play. With a Parasite inside him, Mori immediately fell under her control.

He was now controlled by both Sadler and Ashley. The two sides began a tug-of-war inside him, fighting for control of his body.

Mori wouldn't be moving for a while.

Ashley's little face flushed bright red, but she knew this was a crucial moment. She was proud to be able to serve as a key piece in holding Sadler at bay, and focused on using her special ability to freeze Mori.

Leon, meanwhile, had gotten Kirk's Chicago Typewriter. With his new weapon, he showed off the formidable marksmanship expected of a protagonist!

Though Sadler was over a hundred meters away, Leon kept landing headshots with the Chicago Typewriter, making him howl in pain.

Kirk leaped onto the Lost Light Emblem and activated [Gale], racing toward Ada.

Though Leon was hammering Sadler with a relentless barrage, Sadler still spotted Kirk approaching. With a vicious grin, he once again fired Parasite threads from his staff!

If he took control of Kirk, the battle would be over early!

Kirk snorted.
