Sadler laughed wildly as he climbed down. His tail stinger coiled around the sharp-edged emblem like a long-tailed monkey's tail, and he moved as swiftly as the wind.

A thought suddenly flashed through Kirk's mind. He took out [Luis's Diary].

He remembered that Luis had once mentioned in his notes that Parasites could be controlled by sound waves of a specific frequency.

Although Sadler waved his snake-headed staff around, putting on a mysterious act, the principle behind his control of Ada and Mori was probably still some kind of sound wave, one that affected the Parasites inside their hosts.

Ashley should have been able to oppose him, but the young woman's abilities were limited.

They had to find another way.

[ Luis's Diary ] mentioned that low temperatures reduced Parasite activity.

That wouldn't be difficult.

Kirk took out two Freeze Bombs. Ever since the Nitrogen Tank had worked so well against the Left Hand and Right Hand monsters, he had deliberately bought two from the Merchant.

These ice bombs worked much like Incendiary Grenades, except their effects lasted longer.

Kirk hurled a Freeze Bomb at the charging Mori with all his might.

Mori froze solid, then looked confused.

"How could I—?" He turned and saw Sadler climbing down, and flew into a rage. "You actually used a Parasite to control me? You're dead!"

Mori charged at Sadler.

Sadler tapped his staff, trying to control Mori remotely.

Ashley blew her whistle, countering Sadler's sound waves.

The two forces canceled each other out, while the low temperature further suppressed the Parasite's activity. Mori successfully resisted this
