Background / History

Shangguan Ye previously transmigrated to the Naruto world before arriving in the Demon God’s Record World. His retained abilities now consume Soul Power rather than Chakra. He assumes the identity of the twelve-year-old Patriarch of the Shangguan Family, one of Glory City’s Four Great Super Families, and immediately resolves to strengthen the family’s position. 1

A System mission directs him to befriend Xiao Ning’er and cure the flaw in her cultivation. After Ning’er wounds him while defending herself, he rapidly heals, identifies the problem with her method, and cures it through the System’s power. 1 2

During the later conflict with the Silver Flood Dragon, Shangguan Ye is recognized as the destined master of the Silver Moon Spear because the Golden Saint Dragon King’s bloodline overwhelms the guardian. The spear forms a connection with his Sea of Soul, and the guardian’s Demon Spirit subsequently merges into it. Completion of this trial grants Shangguan Ye Space Law. 21

He later fuses with the Mountains and Rivers Painting, gaining control of its vast internal space and a major increase in Soul Power. 27 By the time of his confrontation with the Ancestral Land of Heavenly Gods, he commands the Dawn organization, the Demon God Sect, and the Ten Great Demon Gods. 106
