There were quite a few ways to increase one's Chakra in the Shinobi World. The ones Yu knew of included transplanting Hashirama Senju's cells. If the transplant succeeded, one could gain an enormous amount of Chakra and might even awaken the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai.

There was also Takigakure's Hero Water. Drinking it could increase one's Chakra tenfold.

Another way was to become a Jinchuriki. The Tailed Beasts' Chakra was practically infinite.

But none of these methods suited him. There was no way he could get his hands on Hashirama Senju's cells, and he didn't even know where Takigakure was. Besides, the Hero Water was a treasure of Takigakure, and he wasn't strong enough to take it. Becoming a Jinchuriki was even more impossible. The Tailed Beasts weren't kittens or puppies, so that option was even less practical.

"Nothing works, no matter what I try. What am I supposed to do?" Yu sat cross-legged on the ground and sighed softly.

His career as a ninja was nearly over before it had even begun. Chakra determined the limit of a ninja's future growth. Without Chakra, he couldn't use ninjutsu. As for Taijutsu, he was even worse.

His current body couldn't withstand intense training. It wasn't because he would get tired; it was because his slime body was too weak. Even a little force would make it deform, like a lump of modeling clay that changed shape when pressed too hard.

Although his body contained all the organs of a human, they were merely imitations. In essence, he was now just a collection of "flesh-like" substances.

His bones were about as hard as his skin and flesh, so he couldn't do intense training. That meant Taijutsu couldn't save him either.

"Wait, isn't there Senjutsu?"

Yu thought of another powerful source of strength.

Chakra wasn't a power native to the Naruto world. Kaguya Otsutsuki had brought it from another world. The power native to the Naruto world was Senjutsu, also known as "Natural Energy."

Natural Energy existed throughout the world, but gathering it and using it to perform Senjutsu was extremely difficult. The only places in the entire Shinobi World with Senjutsu traditions were the three sacred lands: Mount Myōboku, Shikkotsu Forest, and Ryūchi Cave.

Although Hashirama Senju could also use Senjutsu, that was a special case, not a tradition passed down by any of them.

After going over everything he knew about Senjutsu, Yu once again realized there was no way for him to learn it. He had no idea how to gather Natural Energy.

"Am I the worst transmigrator ever? In the Naruto fanfics I used to read, people could start inventing ninjutsu as soon as they arrived, and learn Senjutsu in no time. Why is it different for me?"

The worst thing was comparing yourself to others. Yu felt like he was good for nothing.

"No, no. I can't be so gloomy. I just haven't found the right method yet. There must be a way to overcome these difficulties." Yu tried to reassure himself.

In the days that followed, he and Sasuke went to the training ground every day. Yu usually didn't take part in the morning Taijutsu training. He didn't want Sasuke to see that there was something wrong with his body, and Taijutsu training did him very little good anyway. He might as well spend that time refining Chakra. A little progress every day would add up over time.

In the afternoon, they trained in ninjutsu. Ninjutsu training didn't mean using techniques directly; it focused mainly on Chakra control and practicing hand seals.

During this process, Yu pretended to be a novice and casually offered a few half-baked suggestions for Chakra control: climbing trees with their feet and walking on water.

Sasuke believed what his "younger brother" said without giving it much thought. Sasuke wouldn't encounter these training methods until five years later, and they would certainly improve his abilities. Of course, the improvement wouldn't be huge. They were only two little tricks, after all.

Yu naturally tried these two training methods as well.

Ordinary ninjas' Chakra flowed through the channels in their bodies, but his Chakra could move freely throughout his body without being restricted by those channels. It was very easy to control.

And that was when he finally discovered one of his strengths: his Chakra control was exceptionally good. He could even be called a genius.

He only needed to try climbing a tree with his feet and walking on water a few times before he figured out how. Sasuke, on the other hand, practiced for two days before he managed it.

When Sasuke saw that Yu was better than him at this, he wasn't jealous at all. Instead, he was very happy. In Sasuke's heart, Yu was already his own little brother, and seeing that his brother had talent only made him glad.

At seven in the evening, the day's training came to an end. Yunshang Jinwei had already prepared a table full of food.

Only the two brothers sat at the table. Sasuke placed a piece of steak in Yu's bowl.

"Yu, don't stress too much about your Chakra. Take it slow. We'll find a way eventually," Sasuke told him. Over this period, Sasuke had grown up a lot, and he was also learning how to be a good older brother.

"Okay, Sasuke-nii."

Yu put the steak in his mouth and mumbled his reply. He had settled into the role of Sasuke's little brother, and it felt pretty good.

In his previous life, his parents had divorced when he was very young, so he hadn't experienced much warmth at home. He had lived alone since middle school, and he hadn't been very close to the families his parents had started anew. Having an older brother who cared about him felt really nice.

"Good. By the way, the Ninja Academy told us to go to class tomorrow," Sasuke said after taking a bite of his food.

"Mm!"

Yu nodded. He was quite interested in the Ninja Academy.

In his previous life, he had started school at four and hadn't graduated until he was twenty-two, so school wasn't unfamiliar to him. Besides teaching ninjutsu, the Ninja Academy also covered other subjects, including physics, chemistry, math, and language arts.

Early the next morning, Yunshang Jinwei knocked on his door. After washing up and eating breakfast, Yu walked to the Ninja Academy alongside Sasuke.

The Ninja Academy was one of the most important places in Konoha. It trained batch after batch of excellent ninjas for the village.

The two of them wore the Uchiha clan's distinctive clothes. The Gunbai pattern on their backs made their identities clear.

Not many people knew Yu yet, but Sasuke was a well-known figure at the school. You could say that all the students at the Ninja Academy knew him.

As soon as the two entered the school, their classmates spotted them. However, many students didn't know about the Uchiha clan's situation. Although Konoha had already spread the news, not everyone would know about it, especially since the village had decreed that the children weren't to be told casually.

After entering the school, the two went their separate ways to their respective classes.

Going by his memories, Yu sat in his usual seat. It was in a back corner, but fortunately, Konoha used tiered classrooms. Otherwise, the spot would have been practically cut off from the rest of the class.

Yu wasn't very popular with his classmates. None of the children greeted him, since the old Yu had been a quiet boy who never approached anyone first.

But that suited him just fine. He preferred the peace and quiet, and he could use class time to think carefully about how to improve himself.
