Looking at the bewildered Bonneville, Tang Chuan smiled. "You'll understand later. Many things defy intuition."
As he spoke, he reached out and touched the crystal ball as well. A flash of light passed behind him, and those trapped within the fleet were freed.
Azk was the first to react. After bowing to everyone, he sighed. "Such profound dimensional technology is beyond our understanding for now."
The guide said nothing more and handed the crystal ball to Tang Chuan.
Tang Chuan took the crystal ball and casually put it away. "I'll return it when we leave."
"There's no need," the guide said. "It isn't anything precious. You can use it to enter from now on."
Tang Chuan did not stand on ceremony. He nodded and said, "All right. Where are we going next?"
The guide turned around. "Follow me. They're already waiting for you."
Everyone followed, surveying their surroundings as they went.
To those from the Origin Universe, everything around them was astonishing, though not excessively so. There were merely a few more Spatial Jump nodes, enough to leave them utterly lost after walking for a while. If not for the guide leading the way, they might never have found their way out in their lifetimes.
Beyond that, there were only some little gadgets more advanced than their own civilization. There was none of the grandeur they had imagined from a peak second-level civilization. They could only sigh and wonder if this was what it meant to return to simplicity. Operating in a low dimension meant conforming to its rules; at least at a glance, nothing seemed too outrageous.
But in the eyes of experts like Tang Chuan, what they saw was entirely different. With the perspective of a High Dimension, they could naturally see high-dimensional things.
