There Are Two More!

The two Silver Elite werewolves didn't dare make a single move. Sun Busong had made a deep impression on them: in just thirty seconds, he had taken out dozens of their underlings.

And he had a black lion over a meter tall at his side. That had to be the lion that killed the Wolf King!

What were they supposed to do now? A powerful lion, plus a man who fought like a god of war!

Could someone tell them what to do?! Asking online, urgent!

Shouts rose and fell among the humans. They had been rescued once again, and had witnessed their lord's divine, lethal fighting skills once more. They had to shout it out, or the feeling would get stuck in their chests. Only by yelling at the top of their lungs could they feel better.

"Big brother, what do we do?" Fenros, the Gray Werewolf, stared at the enemy before them, a trace of panic in his eyes.

Nefaru, the White Werewolf, never took his eyes off Sun Busong. He was afraid the man might suddenly rush over and chop him down. "How should I know? Let's hold still for now and see what he does. We'll adapt to whatever comes."

"We can't just stand here like idiots. That won't work either. How about I send the underlings in to test him?" Fenros spoke neither loudly nor softly.

"Fine. If anything feels wrong, we'll go find the necromancer." Nefaru had no intention of throwing his life away for nothing.

Just then, the man across from them spoke—and in werewolf language, no less!

"Hey! Who do you think you're fooling? If you want to test me, come at me yourselves. What kind of skill is it to send your underlings?"

"By the Wolf God! That human can speak our language!" Nefaru's wolf eyes bulged with astonishment.

"He must have werewolf blood! Big brother! He's one of us!"

Who would have guessed Sun Busong could speak the werewolves' language?

Sun Busong had always thought he could only understand the languages spoken by the Horde Side races. He hadn't expected that today, when he ran into two dumb mutts, he'd understand them too.

"Who sent you two? While I'm still deciding whether to kill you, tell me what you know. Then I might consider letting you live."

These were already the fourth Silver Elite monsters he'd encountered. He didn't know if there were any more ahead. The two mutts looked pretty stupid, so it would be ideal if he could pry some information out of them.

"Why don't you have a tail?" Nefaru kept staring at Sun Busong's backside.

"Big brother, his ears don't stick up either. Is he some kind of mutated werewolf?" Fenros asked.

"Maybe his tail's hidden in his pants?"

"Why would he hide it in his pants? A tail is a werewolf's badge of honor. The higher a werewolf's tail points, the more mating rights he gets!"

"Maybe he doesn't know that yet. Hey, keep your voice down! If he hears you, how are we going to live after this? We already have so few young she-wolves."

Sun Busong thought that if he had to listen to them much longer, he'd lose patience and attack them.

"Hey, you two, quit yapping and tell me what you know. My patience is limited." Sun Busong shouted at them again.

"Why should we tell you? We're not stupid!" Fenros barked at Sun Busong, putting on a tough front.

"That's right! You tell us what you know first, or we won't say a thing!" Fenros suddenly seemed to have gotten smarter.

Sun Busong rubbed his nonexistent beard and rolled his eyes.

"Fine, I'll tell you what I know. But in exchange, we each share one thing."

Fenros was delighted to hear that Sun Busong had agreed to go first. His tail swished happily.

"Good. You go first, and then we'll talk."

"Heh! I may not be able to remember those magic incantations, but if I can't outsmart two mutts, I might as well travel back to where I came from!" Sun Busong's mind raced. He had to get some useful information out of them while he recovered his strength.

"I know Night Town has three defensive points right now. I also know a Spider King is attacking the northern one. All right, your turn!"

"..." The two werewolves exchanged a glance. They felt like he'd said something, but also like he hadn't.

"What? I told you what I know. Why aren't you saying anything?" Sun Busong gave them no time to think or confer, urging them to speak up.

"There are two Undead Silver Elites in the north. Why didn't you mention them?" Fenros thought Sun Busong had left out something important, so he added it.

Sun Busong's expression changed as soon as he heard that.

"Damn! There are more enemies in the north!"

Altaia, standing nearby, stared open-mouthed as Sun Busong and the werewolves howled at each other. She had no idea a greater crisis was about to hit.

"So what? I also know that the necromancer Mobent Fell wants you two to lead the charge. Once your wolves and the people in town have been worn down, it'll send its own underlings to attack!"

Sun Busong was trying to drive a wedge between them. It remained to be seen whether the two mutts would catch on.

"Hahahaha! We also know that Mobent's Bane is a book, and that book is hidden in the Rotten Orchard—" Fenros was abruptly cut off.

"Don't say it! Mobent will kill us!" Nefaru clamped a paw over Fenros's mouth. He scanned their surroundings with a fierce, wolfish gaze. Only after making sure there were no other Undead monsters nearby did he release Fenros and exhale.

Mobent's Bane! The Rotten Orchard!

There was hope!

Hahahaha!

Sun Busong laughed wildly. He'd never expected to learn such a closely guarded secret from two mutts.

"Usop! Take our people and go to the Rotten Orchard right now. There's a book there. It's the key to killing Mobent. It's called Mobent's Bane!"

"Your task is to find that book. No matter what happens in town, don't come back without it. Even if you have to dig up the whole area and tear every tree to shreds, find that book!"

"Yes, sir! You four, come with me!" Usop carried out Sun Busong's orders to the letter. He dropped his shield, gathered four Imperial Guards, and set off.

"Do you need help over there? I can send some people too!" Altaia had heard Sun Busong's instructions to Usop. She wanted to join the search in the Rotten Orchard. Once they found the book, the necromancer's days would be numbered!

"You can't go. Two Undead Silver Elites are about to attack the northern defensive point. Your job is to hurry over there and defend it! Remember, you have to hold out until I kill these two pups!"

Sun Busong tossed that remark to Altaia, then charged at the gray and white werewolves. He had the information he wanted; now it was time to send the two mutts to their deaths!

"Humar! Get him!"

By now, he had recovered some of his strength. As long as he didn't use his skills back-to-back, he could keep fighting for hours!

Humar went after the Gray Werewolf. After evolving, Humar's combat power had doubled. Sun Busong no longer needed to back him up against a Werewolf Silver Elite.

Meanwhile, Sun Busong had already hit the White Werewolf with his axe three times, taking off more than two thousand health points.

"You're not playing fair! Why'd you attack us all of a sudden? We're going to fight back!"

The two Werewolf Silver Elites had twenty thousand health points each, and their attacks were powerful. They were also highly agile, with astonishing jumping ability. Sun Busong had already missed several basic attacks because they dodged them!

On the other side, Humar was clearly dominating the Gray Werewolf after evolving. A man couldn't measure up to a dog! A cat!

Killing the lesser monsters earlier had drained a lot of his stamina, so most of Sun Busong's attacks were basic strikes. He also had to split his attention to deal with other enemies attacking from behind and from the sides.

Soon, the White Werewolf's health was down by half, while Sun Busong had lost twenty thousand health points. The werewolves really were vicious. Their moves were almost all offensive, and they didn't bother defending at all. They fought by trading blows and blood.

When the White Werewolf had about thirty percent of his health left, his skill activated!

His attack speed rose noticeably, and every attack restored a considerable amount of his health!

The Werewolf Silver Elite had a lifesteal skill!

As Sun Busong watched the White Werewolf's health recover at a frightening speed, he immediately activated a skill.

Lethal Strike

Melee Range

Instant 60-second cooldown

Requires a melee weapon

A vicious attack that deals weapon damage plus 85 damage to the target, and reduces the effectiveness of all healing by 50% for 10 seconds.

Even that wasn't enough. The White Werewolf was recovering health more slowly, but his attack speed was still extremely high. In that short time, Sun Busong had lost nearly five thousand health points.

Concussive Blow

Melee Range

Instant 5-minute cooldown

Requires a melee weapon

Stuns the target for 5 seconds and deals 38 damage plus 100% of Attack Power.

After smashing his axe into the enemy and stunning him, Sun Busong quickly retreated out of the White Werewolf's attack range. Then he spun around and brought his axe down on a wild wolf behind him.

He activated his third skill.

Bloodlust

Melee Range

Instant 3-minute cooldown

Requires a melee weapon

Immediately attack the target, dealing damage equal to 50% of Attack Power plus 100. Your next three successful melee attacks also restore 2% of your total health each. Lasts 8 seconds.

He had a healing skill too. It didn't look like much—it only restored 6% of his health—but it depended on who was using it. With nearly sixty thousand health, this skill restored over three thousand points in one go.

Five seconds passed quickly, and the White Werewolf's skill ended. Of course, that meant his life was about to end too!

"Humar, come help me finish him!"

After seeing the absurd growth in Humar's stats after evolving, Sun Busong had decided to bring him everywhere from then on. Wherever there was a Rare Elite monster, they'd go. The next evolution required killing twenty Silver Elites, and he was eager to see what Humar would be like after evolving to blue quality.

The Gray Werewolf rushed over to help the White Werewolf, but the White Werewolf had already used his Ultimate Skill and now had only a little over seven thousand health left. Sun Busong was willing to fight until he ran out of strength if that was what it took to kill him.

Soon, the White Werewolf let out a howl and fell under the joint assault of Sun Busong and Humar. Sun Busong turned and went after the other lesser monsters, while Humar continued to grapple with the Gray Werewolf.

The battle went on for another eight minutes. Sun Busong had recovered his stamina, and all his skills were ready again.

"Humar, get him! Finish him this time!"

After evolving to green, Humar could more or less understand some simple commands from Sun Busong. With a roar, he sped up his attacks. Humar used to attack once every two seconds, but now it seemed he had awakened some incredible hidden trait.

Sun Busong was sure he hadn't seen things. Just then, Humar had landed a three-hit combo—three attacks in one second!

When the werewolf's health was about to reach thirty percent, Sun Busong sent Humar to attack the other wild wolves and moved in himself. He intended to shut down the Gray Werewolf's Ultimate Skill.

Sure enough, the Gray Werewolf's Ultimate Skill activated as soon as his health dropped to thirty percent.

His attack speed increased by 50%, and each attack converted 30% of its damage into health, restoring him.

Piercing Roar

Instant

Stuns all enemies within 10 yards of the Warrior and reduces their Movement Speed by 50% for 6 seconds.

Once the Gray Werewolf's Movement Speed returned to normal, Sun Busong used another skill.

Intercept

Range: 8–25 yards

Instant 5-minute cooldown

Requires Berserker Stance

Charge at an enemy, dealing damage equal to 12% of Attack Power and stunning them for 3 seconds.

The Gray Werewolf froze in place, stars spinning above his head.

Four seconds later.

Hamstring

Melee Range

Instant 60-second cooldown

Requires Battle Stance or Berserker Stance

Requires a melee weapon

Maims the enemy, reducing their Movement Speed by 50% for 15 seconds.

The Gray Werewolf tried to approach Sun Busong at a crawl, but Sun Busong wasn't about to give him the chance.

As his Ultimate Skill was about to wear off, the Gray Werewolf howled at the sky in fury and frustration!

It's so hard being me!

Three minutes later, the Rare Elite Fenros, the Gray Werewolf, died to Sun Busong's Execute.

Humar still had more than 90% of his health, while his master was so exhausted he could barely lift his axe.

When the Chariot Soldiers in the defensive fort saw Sun Busong take down both incredibly powerful Werewolf Silver Elites, they excitedly rushed out. Together, they killed the wild wolves and werewolves fleeing in all directions, then carried Sun Busong, who was barely conscious, back into the fort.

"Everyone, settle down. The battle isn't over. The monsters on your side aren't much of a threat anymore. I need to rest and recover my strength. After that, I still have to go help in the north. There should be two more Undead Silver Elites there!"

Sun Busong waved for everyone to quiet down. He was exhausted and needed to rest.

The people at the defensive point watched as the god-of-war-like man lay on a bed without the slightest concern for his image. He sprawled there casually, and before long, he was snoring.

He really was exhausted. By now, he had killed four Rare Elite mini-bosses. When he woke up, two more would be waiting for him. The Night Watchers in the north were waiting for him, and so were all the residents of Night Town!
