Background / History
Sun Busong was originally a university student who created a Human Warrior character bearing his own name in Warcraft 837. While playing another game simultaneously, he was transported into the World of Warcraft game world and awoke in the body of a nine-year-old boy at Anweimar Fortress. He inherited the host’s memories and skills, as well as the traits of both Dwarves and Humans. His adoptive father, Uncle Hanyi, was a master blacksmith who raised him and intended to train him as a Dwarf Warrior and patroller 1.
Soon after arriving, Busong discovered packages containing professional manuals, powerful storage bags, a future combat pet, a flying mount, a soul-resurrection item, and the growth artifact necklace Slaughter. He chose to adapt rather than dwell on his transmigration, rapidly developing as both a blacksmith and combatant 1.
After completing the Cold Ridge Trail trial, he entered military service and was assigned to Loch Modan due to his exceptional performance. He supplied equipment to patrol members in return for protection while hunting, gaining respect through both his forging and his ability to clear entire patrol routes of monsters 5 6.
Busong later joined forces with Luffy and the Defias Brotherhood. He founded the Imperial Guard from selected Brotherhood Professionals, equipping its members with Blue Gear and training them in intelligence work and combat. The organization became known across Azeroth for aiding allies and ruthlessly eliminating enemies 20.
His later campaigns included defending Night Town, developing ties with Treasure Bay, rescuing Princess Moira, leading large-scale Secret Realm expeditions, fighting in Alterac Valley, and defending Watchtower Citadel against the Burning Legion 23 42 101 357 432.
Appearance
Busong’s physique and appearance increasingly diverge from those of an ordinary Dwarf. Emperor Dagran Thaurissan’s soul notes that he has grown taller than the Dwarven norm and that his appearance no longer resembles a typical Dwarf; it also perceives a Human soul within him 124.
- Dwarf–Human hybrid with both races’ traits 1.
- Later described as taller than standard Dwarves 124.
- Possesses a Human soul despite his Dwarven body 124.
Personality
Busong is pragmatic and adaptable; after realizing he has transmigrated, he immediately resolves to make the best of his new circumstances 1. He is ambitious about strength, equipment, and reputation, repeatedly seeking difficult trials, Rare Elites, Secret Realms, and advancement opportunities 5 35 60.
He treats those who show him courtesy with greater courtesy in return, and he is notably generous toward mentors, allies, and subordinates. He supplies Hanyi with rare forging materials, outfits companions in powerful gear, and invests heavily in the Imperial Guard’s development 16 19 114.
As a commander, he values his soldiers’ lives over empty martyrdom. During the Stromgarde campaign, he distributes healing supplies and rations, orders injured troops to withdraw rather than die needlessly, and promises to lead them home safely 164. He can also be ruthless when protecting allies or pursuing the Imperial Guard’s objectives, including considering force against Defias leaders who obstruct Luffy’s vindication 125.
