Upon returning to the sky, Aegwynn immediately shared the model of the underground cave she had constructed with Jaina through magic. The Arcane Crystal Bullet gleamed coldly in the moonlight.
"Attack." Aegwynn's voice was brief and cold. He then waved to Jaina, signaling her to follow.
Nefarian swooped down, dropping a bomb from the east at a near-vertical angle; three seconds later, Onyxia released her claws from the west. The two dragons then resumed their horizontal, circling flight, slowly ascending as they went. The two mages precisely guided the bomb's descent, directing it to the underground cave where the Eye of the Storm was stored.
Soon, the bombs dropped from a height of over a thousand meters were about to fall to the ground. The tails of the two bombs ignited with the flames of their rocket boosters, and like falling meteors, they shot straight toward the entrance to the Flame Ridge Rift.
The Kor'kron Guard on the ground initially looked up in confusion, but it wasn't until the flames pierced the night sky that they realized the danger. "What's that—?" In the blink of an eye, two huge plumes of smoke suddenly erupted from the ground at the entrance to Flame Ridge, followed by two muffled explosions. Then the earth shook violently. There seemed to be a cracking sound coming from below.
The Kor'kron soldiers sensed something was wrong and instinctively wanted to flee, but their innate duty compelled them to find out what had just fallen to the ground. This cost them their lives.
Before long, an even stronger tremor came from underground. They couldn't even stand firm. The Stone Tablet beneath their feet cracked inch by inch, and then the earth began to split apart, with blazing red light shining through the cracks.
"Run... run!" An orc soldier finally reacted, but it was too late. The underground explosion caused a massive collapse, and all the Kor'kron Guard were swept into a vortex of dust and debris.
Garrosh, who hadn't gone far, also saw the firelight in the sky. He was about to stop and order his soldiers to be on guard against an enemy night attack when he heard a muffled explosion from the ground in the distance, which alerted him. -- Someone was attacking the underground modification factory. They were after Eye of the Storm.
He ran two steps toward the explosion site and suddenly saw the flames erupting from the ground; his soldiers were struggling for their lives. Cold sweat suddenly soaked his back, and a terrible thought rose in his mind: could that damned Arcane bomb have been detonated by the explosion?
If Arcane bombs could destroy Theramore, he couldn't even imagine the apocalyptic scene if they were detonated in Orgrimmar.
Thinking of this, Garrosh disregarded his surroundings and the tribesmen rushing towards the explosion site to check the situation. He immediately led his personal guards and fled in a direction far away from the scene.
He didn't even have time to explain to them, racing against time with all his might. When he encountered orcs who stood in his way, he would throw a punch, knocking down a group of them, and then step on them as he passed.
He was still ordering his personal guards, "Run! Run with me!" The group of men ran desperately toward Valley of Wisdom, wanting nothing more than to get away from that terrifying destructive power.
But he didn't run very far. Before he even entered the Valley of Wisdom, a deafening roar came from underground. Terrifying energy surged out, and all the sand and dust above the Cleft of Shadow shot upwards like a fountain.
The ground twisted and turned like noodles. The Kor'kron Guardians, who had been swallowed by the rift, found themselves launched out by an even more terrifying force and torn to pieces.
That was the energy of the Eye of the Storm being completely unleashed.
Arcane storms tore through the rock formations, and a blue-white pillar of light shot into the sky, illuminating the night sky as if it were daytime. The shockwave swept across half of Orgrimmar, and the surrounding orcs were annihilated in the torrent of energy before they could even scream.
Garrosh's position was also thrown into the air by the terrible tremor. Several of his personal guards lay on the ground, coughing up blood, with broken arms and legs, their fates unknown. The Great Chieftain gasped for breath for a long time before being helped up by an orc who had run from afar.
" Great Chieftain, how are you? What happened here?" the orc asked his Great Chieftain anxiously.
"Enemy attack! It's an enemy attack!" Garrosh could only utter these empty words. He dared not reveal that it was an enemy attack that triggered the Eye of the Storm's detonation. He regretted for a moment why he had gotten involved in this mess. The bomb he intended to use to destroy Theramore had instead destroyed his own base first.
No, I am Garrosh, the Great Chieftain of the Horde, the indomitable leader of the orcs. What is this little accident?
Garrosh quickly rallied and addressed the surrounding orcs. "Quickly, move away from the explosion site to prevent further underground collapse. Everyone, move closer to me. I am Garrosh Hell scream! Orcs will never be slaves!"
" Shaman, quickly cast a spell to locate the enemy!"
" Kor'kron, are any still alive? Gather around me! We will have our revenge. Orcs never give up."
"Where's the Troll? Where's the Witch Doctor? Quickly, call Vol'jin to save them!"
"Everyone, light the torches! The enemy is coming from the air, quickly light all the lights! Everyone, carefully search the city for any non-orcs. The enemy definitely has an inside man. There will be a reward for reporting and exposing them; those who conceal or hide them will be severely punished."
The orders were passed down one by one. The entire Orgrimmar was illuminated. All the orcs began to watch the city's goblins, Twilight Cultists, foreign merchants, and even Tauren and Troll became suspects.
At the same time, an atmosphere of sorrow permeated the air. Half of Orgrimmar had been destroyed. Many orcs who had lost loved ones wept silently. In particular, those orcs who had gone to work in Theramore but were forced to return secretly regretted why they had come back to suffer.
Fear, doubt, sorrow, and resentment enveloped the great city of the orcs. They didn't even know who the enemy was or what kind of attack had caused such a horrific explosion.
Meanwhile, the Blackhand behind the incident, the four members of the two dragons, were already on their way back. After the bombs penetrated and exploded in the underground cavern, they quickly climbed up and evacuated. Aegwynn had already estimated that the two ground-penetrating bombs he had dropped would very likely cause the Eye of the Storm to detonate.
Sure enough, just as they flew away from Orgrimmar's range, an even more violent explosion erupted in the city behind them. Towering flames, along with dust and debris, formed a massive mushroom cloud that shot into the sky. The shockwave even caught up with the flying Black Dragon from behind, causing the two dragons to lurch around as if they were on a roller coaster.
The passengers above also experienced weightlessness and G-forces. The ladies screamed. Only Deren gritted his teeth and endured it. Fortunately, the main explosive energy was blocked by the underground soil, and the shockwave coming from the air was not very strong.
Once the flight stabilized, Jaina took out the recording crystal and captured the image of Orgrimmar's destruction. She finally breathed a sigh of relief. This time, it wasn't Theramore that was destroyed, but the orcs and their Great Chieftain Garrosh who reaped what they sowed.
Thinking that all of this was the work of the young man Deren behind it all, a special look flashed in her beautiful eyes. Two lines of excited tears drifted away in the wind.
