For some reason, when Jaina looked up at the young Orc, a stirring feeling welled up inside her. It was completely different from what she'd felt for Varian at the banquet table more than a decade ago. Perhaps it was fate.

Leiluo naturally stepped in to stop the young Orc from going too far. After all, Tyrande and Malfurion were there. But once Leiluo called the young Orc away, Jaina's thoughts seemed to fly off somewhere, and she didn't snap back at Leiluo again.

Without Jaina's objections, Tyrande and Malfurion were willing to heed Leiluo's advice. After all, no one knew Gul'dan better than Leiluo did. So, after consulting with him, Tyrande and Malfurion agreed to hold their positions and wait to see what Gul'dan did next.

Over the next month of fighting, Gul'dan not only failed to intensify his attacks, but greatly reduced them instead. A shadow immediately fell over Leiluo's heart. Though he couldn't remember exactly how Archimonde had appeared the second time, he knew it had been at Mount Hyjal. So Leiluo once again urged Tyrande and Malfurion to send out scouts to investigate the Undead army's movements.

Unfortunately, at that moment, neither the Horde, the Alliance, nor the Night Elves had any ties to the Forsaken. Getting their help was out of the question, so Leiluo had to think of another solution.

And just as Leiluo had suspected, Gul'dan had no intention of sitting idle with such a powerful force at his command. His attacks on Mount Hyjal, carried out like clockwork every day, were meant to conceal his true intentions. His real goal was tied to Archimonde: Gul'dan intended to summon him.

As for why Kil'jaeden was the one working with Gul'dan, while Gul'dan intended to summon Archimonde, that had nothing to do with Gul'dan.
