The hastily made wooden arrows had run out. Garrosh drew the sword at his waist and signaled to the Night Elves. They immediately discarded their longbows and took up their swords. Grouping themselves into teams of three, with five teams to a formation, they watched one another's blind spots as they slowly disappeared into the sea of Undead and demons.
But the Night Elves who joined the battle weren't swallowed up by the endless tide of Undead and demons. Instead, like a millstone, they slowly ground the enemies who came near them into minced flesh and bone dust. The millstone also kept helping the Horde warriors fighting alone nearby, drawing them into its ranks and growing larger and larger.
With the Horde warriors joining them, the millstone became even more efficient. Most of the Horde warriors wore heavy armor and stood on the outermost ring, where they could withstand enemy attacks and protect the Night Elf warriors behind them. Their main job wasn't to kill the enemy; they were like the eyes of a millstone, letting enemies into its center.
The Night Elf warriors behind them used their speed to attack, swiftly killing the enemies let in through the "eyes" before throwing them back out. They repeated the process again and again. Before anyone knew it, the enormous millstone had begun to move toward Gul'dan and Archimonde.
