Aboard the warship, Steel Bone Kong continued explaining things to Garp. "After seizing a slave ship, Uncle Figo will be delayed for a while. The slaves aboard aren't all innocent civilians. Some are vicious pirates, and others are spies or informants planted by slave traders.
"Uncle Figo has spent fifty years guarding Impel Down, and his sensitivity to evil surpasses that of ordinary people. Usually, he releases all the slaves, then suddenly orders them back into their cells. By watching the subtle changes in their expressions, he can tell which of them are good and which are bad!"

Figo opened the slaves' cells one by one. Inside, the slaves had been numb with despair, and as the ship neared Sabaody Archipelago, they could hardly believe they had been rescued.

The thanks and sobbing stopped. The slaves exchanged confused looks, unsure what they had done to offend the man who'd saved them. Many were visibly afraid. Had they escaped the wolf's den only to fall into a tiger's lair?
A few glanced at the chains that had bound them, their eyes flashing with a vicious glint.
