Sect Heir and Diary Recipient

Ning Tian grows up as the only daughter of Sect Master Ning Zhu, with Wu Feng accompanying her since childhood. Numerous sect disciples pursue her, but she has no preferred partner and dislikes the prospect of her mother choosing one so early. She decides to attend Shrek Academy partly to postpone those arrangements and partly to see its celebrated talents for herself 1 17.

While packing, she receives Ao Yao’s Diary, Ning Tian’s Exclusive Version in her mind. Initially skeptical of its claims, she becomes interested in its rewards—especially the possibility of evolving her Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda into the Nine Treasures form possessed by her ancestor Ning Rongrong. She sees that evolution as a means of restoring her sect’s former glory 1 2.

Bringing Ao Yao to Shrek
