Background / History

Li Qingxuan chose to create his own force rather than enroll in an academy, seeking a stable base from which he could cultivate and act without constant travel. He rejected Ye Guyi’s proposed name, “Holy Spirit Cult,” instead reserving that name for a possible subordinate faction and naming his organization the Sky Mending Pavilion. He promised Ye Guyi the position of Vice Pavilion Master on the condition that she not create trouble. 9

Its initial funding came from clothing designs created by Ye Guyi, using styles from ten thousand years in the future. The designs were sold through a tailor shop under a fifty-fifty profit split, producing the Pavilion’s first steady capital. 9 10 Tang Ya later joined Ye Guyi in designing garments; their products became widely sold throughout the Heaven Dou Empire and generated enough wealth to purchase a fief. 14

After Li Qingxuan arrived at the purchased fief, a system reward transformed it into the Sky Mending Pavilion Sacred Mountain complex and activated the Bright Spirit Gathering Array. Li Qingxuan formally declared the Pavilion’s establishment, naming himself Pavilion Master and Ye Guyi Vice Pavilion Master. 18

The Pavilion’s headquarters was generated on a broad mountain fief with green peaks behind it and a clear stream before it. Golden radiance covered ten li during its creation, raising a Sacred Mountain from the ground. 18
