Background

Nuwa resides in seclusion with her elder brother, Fuxi, within a protected Dao field on Mount Buzhou. When Xuande mistakes their Innate Restriction for an ownerless treasure ground, she calmly stops him through divine-sense communication and invites him inside once the misunderstanding is resolved. 23

During Xuande's visit, Nuwa explains the Dao of Creation as the act of giving form to the formless and granting life and spirituality to what was previously lifeless. Their discussion establishes a lasting friendship; before Xuande departs, she gives him a Morning Glory flower. 24 25

At Purple Cloud Palace, Xuande uses Merit Golden Light to help Nuwa reach the unclaimed sixth cushion, securing her place among the six destined holders. Nuwa and Fuxi later personally thank him for the assistance. 34 37

Hongjun subsequently accepts Nuwa as a direct disciple and grants her the Universe Cauldron and Red Embroidered Ball. 52

Creation of the Yellow Ginseng Divine Tree

Xuande calls upon Nuwa after he, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun create a fused but spiritually inert root. Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu join the project; Nuwa's Creation Dao awakens the new root after five thousand years of coordinated effort, producing the twin-born Yellow Ginseng Divine Tree. 109 111

Aid to Houtu and the Witch Clan

Nuwa supports Houtu's attempt to overcome the Witch Clan's lack of Primordial Spirits.
