Background / History

Loki is Laufey's biological son, but was adopted and raised by Odin in Asgard. He grew up as Thor's brother while concealing his Frost Giant nature. Although he possessed a shared Wisdom Godhead through Frigga and exceptional aptitude for Vanir magic, he believed Asgard valued brute strength over intelligence and denied him the recognition afforded to Thor. 54 311

Before his alliance with Thanos, Loki led a failed rebellion against Asgard, was defeated by Thor, and drifted through space. His resentment deepened after learning that his non-Asgardian blood prevented him from inheriting Asgard's power. 48 102

Appearance

Loki normally presents himself as a lean, handsome Asgardian man in ornate green-and-gold attire, often wearing a horned helmet and carrying twin daggers. His true form is markedly larger and more physically imposing.
