Inside the restaurant, Yuri and Kate immediately began eating at ten times their usual speed while Tony was away. In less than three minutes, they had swept clean every piece of meat and high-energy food on the buffet line.
"My dear brother Tony."
"Are you done?"
Yuri took the full glass of red wine Kate brought him and let her gently wipe the corner of his mouth clean. After taking a small sip, he raised his glass toward Tony in a token toast and bluntly asked, "When will the money arrive?"
Tony stared dumbfounded at the spotless buffet line. He stared at Yuri's still-flat abdomen for quite a while before finally shifting his gaze under Kate's icy glare.
He casually picked up an apple and took a bite. Chewing, he answered absentmindedly, "It'll arrive within a day. Also... you ate all of that?"
He vaguely pointed at the empty buffet line beside him and asked curiously, "No other reason, I just want to know why your stomach doesn't look any different at all."
"That's none of your business."
Yuri drained the red wine in one go. After gently setting down the empty glass, he grabbed the inexplicably aloof Kate and turned to leave.
As Tony let out an angry yet helpless "Fuck," a clear voice rang inside his mind. "Come to Ancestor's Handicraft Shop tonight. Cash on delivery."
"Goodbye, dear Tony~"
"I hope I never see you again!"
Tony muttered quietly at their receding backs. He could feel himself recovering, with intense emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and delight gradually returning to his control one by one...
Before he could properly celebrate, Jarvis spoke from above him. "Mr. Ambrosius has driven away the Porsche in your garage. Shall I let him through?"
Tony's face turned red, then green, vividly demonstrating what it meant to be furious. After quite a while, he finally said helplessly, "In that case, then..."
"Sir!"
Jarvis interrupted him. "Latest update: Miss Kate got out and kicked the gate flying, then Mr. Yuri Ambrosius drove away with her! Shall I call the police, Mr. Stark?"
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
Tony grabbed a chair in the restaurant, wanting to vent his frustration. But he had clearly overestimated his strength. After trying twice and discovering it was not a weapon he could handle, Tony shoved the chair to the floor and gave it a vicious kick. "Jarvis, from now on, replace every chair in the house with lightweight ones! They have to be the kind I can lift!"
"Noted, sir."
Jarvis readily complied, then returned to the previous subject. "Regarding Mr. Ambrosius's car theft, would you like me to call the police for you, sir?"
Tony wiped his face with one hand and somehow regained his composure in the blink of an eye. His lips twitched. "Can Yuri taking my car be called theft? That was clearly armed robbery!"
"Don't call the police."
Tony glanced at the camera overhead and waved a hand. "Contact the repair crew to fix the gate. We'll let this matter go."
"Boss~"
Kate sat in the passenger seat, her little hands restlessly wandering over Yuri's body. Her boneless body twisted and squirmed in the cramped car, and she directly sat on Yuri's lap.
She licked Yuri's earlobe in small strokes and coquettishly said, "I'm so full~"
"Then go sit somewhere else."
Yuri grabbed her by the back of the neck and flung her into the backseat. Looking solemnly into the rearview mirror, he said, "There are only twenty-four hours in a day. We need at least four hours to mate. I'm setting a rule today: no one is allowed to pull this during the daytime!"
Kate curled up pitifully in the backseat, her large eyes darting about. She poked Yuri with one finger and asked, "But what if I can't beat Vanax to it?"
Yuri chuckled. "That's your problem."
He drove fast and returned to the handicraft shop in just over ten minutes.
Pedestrians on the street watched in surprise as a man and woman, both peerless in temperament and appearance, pushed open the door and entered the little shop. They actually found themselves wanting to go in and take a look.
Yuri noticed several people approaching the shop, rolled his eyes, and directly drove them away.
"Boss!"
Vanax, radiating an air of utter dejection, sluggishly came over. Yuri glanced at the tabletop covered in empty pen refills, then rubbed the head of the Silly Bird who had thrown herself into his arms with great satisfaction. "Finished translating?"
Vanax reached out and plucked off a strand of hair that did not belong to Yuri but was tangled on his clothes. She shot a vicious glare at the radiant Kate. That bitch of a cat actually stole the boss while I was gone!
Kate fearlessly glared back, held her head high, puffed out her chest, and asked Vanax, "The boss asked you a question, Silly Bird."
The killing intent around Vanax instantly vanished. With a swish, she slipped down from Yuri and handed him the thick stack of handwritten pages filled with writing from the table. Her face was practically screaming, "Praise me already," as she said, "Boss, I finished translating it! It took a whole night and used up thirteen pen refills!"
Although Yuri could not read Inuit, that did not stop him from putting on a show. He casually flipped through the pages, though his expression looked very serious. "The translation is good."
"Hehe."
With her hands behind her back, Vanax bounced over to Yuri's side. She proudly raised her head and knowingly asked, "So, did I pass the test?"
"You passed, you passed."
Yuri wanted to rub her head as a reward, but discovered that Kate was tightly hugging his arm. Helpless, he could only turn sideways and lower his head. Amid Vanax's utterly delighted gaze and Kate's frustrated realization that she had gained nothing but lost something, he gently kissed the corner of the former's mouth.
"Alright!"
Yuri shoved both women away and temporarily appointed them as examiners for Shack and the other two. Once that was done, while all five were present, he assigned his second task to the five tribespeople. "All of you must pass the tests before lunch. After lunch, go with Yinsen to the bookstore next door. You need more knowledge and information about the Arctic."
After watching Vanax and Kate herd Shack and the other two up to the second floor like prisoners, Yuri instructed Yinsen, who was diligently manning the front desk with nothing to do, "I'm going to conduct an important study on the third floor, so I'll turn off my phone. If anyone comes looking for me, stall them if you can. If you can't, go find Vanax on the second floor. They'll help you solve the problem."
"Okay, Boss."
Yinsen nodded gladly. Thanks to the shop's universally despised signboard, he did not think anyone would come here. Even if they really encountered people like that Strategic Homeland Defense Attack and Logistics Support Bureau from a few days ago, he believed the five beings on the second floor, each strong beyond human measure, would handle the problem well.
