Qingye had specifically sought out Nohara Rin to borrow a microscope.
"Qingye, what are you looking at?"
Nohara Rin peered curiously at the white cells on the slide.
What kind of cells were these?
They looked like animal tissue, but what animal had white cells?
"It's something strange. I can't even say what kind of organism it is."
Qingye pressed his eye to the eyepiece. Under the microscope, the structure of the White Zetsu Cells was clearly visible.
The outer layers of each cell were sharply defined.
Cell walls!
These White Zetsu actually had cell walls!
So they really are plant people...
Qingye couldn't help but quip to himself.
Inside the White Zetsu cells, separated by their cell walls, were tiny granules. He had no idea what kind of cellular structures they were.
White Zetsu were something between animals and plants, so Qingye didn't dare try to fit them into what he knew about biology.
"By the way, Rin, you know what courses research ninja study, right?"
"Research ninja? Hmm, they follow a different career path from us Medical Ninja, but there is some overlap."
"Great! Could you make me a reading list of what they study?"
"Sure!"
Nohara Rin readily agreed.
She took out pen and paper and quickly wrote out a long list.
Qingye saw that Nohara Rin showed no sign of stopping, and began to feel a little overwhelmed. He leaned over to take a look and saw that she had already listed more than a dozen books.
General Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology...
"That many?"
Qingye's eye twitched as he looked at the more than twenty books she'd written down.
"This is at least what I know about."
Nohara Rin nodded seriously.
