Orochimaru quickly formed Hand Seals, and a gigantic swamp of mud appeared in the laboratory. Toneri, who had almost reached the ceiling, finally stopped rising.
As the smoke cleared, he finally saw what he had summoned.
A gigantic, triangular snake head. Four protruding spikes resembling dragon horns jutted from behind its head, and its pale purple body was marked with rings of dark purple stripes.
A patch of unusually hard scales covered a relatively flat spot in the middle of its head. At that moment, sprawled across those scales was the one who had summoned the giant snake... Toneri.

Hearing Orochimaru call the snake by name, Toneri had just managed to get to his feet, but his legs gave way and he flopped back down.
Was it really such a big deal that he'd poured all his chakra into the summoning array?
