After another dizzying whirl, Toneri and Orochimaru returned to the laboratory in Konoha.
Once they were back, Orochimaru's Shadow Clone in the laboratory disappeared.
"Teacher Orochimaru, can I summon a Summoning Beast now?" Toneri asked, looking at him.
Honestly, he didn't feel a thing after signing the contract.
Except for some pain in his finger.
"Give it a try. Let's see how well you can control your chakra." Orochimaru's voice was always so magnetic, like a slow-acting poison that made people lower their guard without even realizing it.

"Here?"
Toneri hesitated.

Then, he saw the undisguised disdain in Orochimaru's eyes.
He couldn't help asking, "Teacher, are you looking down on me?"
Even if you are, you don't have to make it so obvious, do you?
How about I summon something enormous and scare the wits out of you?
Orochimaru's expression didn't change. He didn't even bother to hide the disdain in his eyes as he said flatly, "No."
Toneri: "..."
