"Is this the future?" Uchiha Itachi frowned. Even though he had personally slaughtered his entire clan, he had no way to purge his own bloodline. No matter what, he was a member of the Uchiha Clan and bore the Uchiha surname.

Uchiha could be a surname, but it could not mean a walking corpse. Looking at himself crawling across the ground, he could not help but shudder, goosebumps rising all over his body.

"Why didn't I die?" He turned his head toward his other self—or rather, Uchiha Jie, who wore his face—and asked the question in his heart.
