If Obito had released the Nine-Tails back then, then no matter what, Itachi could not compare to him. At the very least, he was still a ninja, still a human being.

At least, that was what he believed in his heart.

But he really did want to meet Obito, to see what had become of him, whether he had been forgiven, and how his story had ended.

But he probably no longer had anyone who could forgive him. At the very least, Itachi still had Sasuke, and even Sasuke's child. But who could forgive Obito? The Fourth Hokage's child?

"Have you made up your mind? Are you really going?" Uchiha Jie asked once again.

Uchiha Itachi nodded heavily and stood up, still holding the cold ice cream. Droplets condensed on the wall of the little cup fell onto his hand.

Yamanaka Feng picked up his spoon and began eating in huge mouthfuls. When he took the first bite, he could not help lowering his head to examine the ice cream closely.

It was not anything new. Ice cream in the future had not become especially delicious either. It was merely a brand from the capital of the Land of Fire, one that Konoha had only received in limited supply in the past.

What surprised him was the taste. Whether in the spiritual world or in the Genjutsu he had encountered before, nothing had ever felt this real.

It was not impossible to achieve, but being able to account for details this fine was enough to prove how formidable this Genjutsu
