The Five Elemental Academies Gather: Skywater, Godwind, Blazing Fire, Elephant Armor, and Thunder

"First, our goal is to win!"

"You twenty-one are this year's representatives from each grade for the Exchange Meeting. From now on, focus on training and make a good push to improve your Combat Power."

"Understood, Teacher Xiuzhen."

The students responded one after another.

"Instructor Xiuzhen, which academy came in first at the last Exchange Meeting?" Ye Wen asked curiously.

"Ye Wen, it was Godwind Academy."

"Godwind, huh?" Indeed, from what Ye Wen remembered, Godwind seemed to be the strongest of the Five Elemental Academies.

"Hmph. Godwind Academy has taken first place at the Exchange Meeting three times in a row."

"Yeah! It's so annoying. Godwind takes all the prize money every time."

Some of the Skywater students said, clearly disgruntled.

"Three times in a row? Godwind's really dominating," Ye Wen thought to himself.

He didn't dare claim he could lead Skywater to first place this year. After all, he was only competing in the Second Year matches.

"Some of you have taken part in the Exchange Meeting before, but others haven't, so I'll go over the rules again. Listen carefully."

Shui Xiuzhen cleared her throat and began explaining. "The Exchange Meeting is a points-based competition. First Years compete against First Years, Second Years against Second Years, and so on. Each student will draw lots to face one student from each of the other four academies: Elephant Armor, Godwind, Thunder, and Blazing Fire."

"In other words, each student has to fight four matches. A win earns one point. In the upper-year matches, each win is worth two points. The academy with the most points at the end takes first place. Does everyone understand?"

"Understood!"

"So that's how it works! That means I can earn Skywater at most four points. Four points won't change much," Ye Wen thought.

"All right, you're dismissed. Go back and train hard."

"Yes, Instructor Xiuzhen."

Everyone dispersed.

Shui Bing'er walked with Ye Wen, Evil Tiger, and Xiao Bai.

She leaned close to Ye Wen's ear and whispered, "Hey, Ye Wen, when are you going to let everyone know your Soul Power has reached level 29?"

"Why tell them on purpose? They'll find out when the time comes," Ye Wen replied unconcernedly.

During this time, aside from attending classes, he'd been practicing the Thunder Hammer Technique on his own. He hadn't fought in front of the others, so apart from Shui Bing'er, Evil Tiger, and the rest of their group, nobody knew his current Soul Power level.

(Just my personal feeling, but surely you can't tell someone's exact Soul Power level just by looking at them. Otherwise, what would Soul Power testing balls be for? Also, when Tang San registered at Shrek Academy, the old man—the teacher—should've been a Soul Emperor, right? And he still had to take Tang San's pulse to figure it out.)

"You're not planning to make a stunning debut at the Exchange Meeting, are you?" Shui Bing'er asked.

"Heh, not really," Ye Wen said with a smile.

A stunning debut?

When he fought the Second Year students, he wouldn't need to activate his Martial Soul or even use much Soul Power. Without any fluctuations in Soul Power, nobody would be able to tell his exact level.

"All right, do as you like. Everyone's going to find out sooner or later anyway," Shui Bing'er said.

Then Shui Bing'er went back to the girls' dormitory with Xiao Bai, while Ye Wen continued studying the Thunder Hammer Technique.

Before they knew it, ten days had passed, and the Exchange Meeting finally began.

The whole school had the day off, so all the students had gathered at the competition venue to watch.

As Skywater's competitors, Ye Wen and the others had already taken their seats.

The four other academies—Godwind, Blazing Fire, Thunder, and Elephant Armor—were waiting outside to enter.

"Ahem." Holding a microphone, the Skywater Dean called for the other academies to come in. "Now, please welcome Godwind Academy!"

The crowd quickly parted, and a group of students in green uniforms walked in.

"Wow, Skywater Academy really is something! It's all girls as far as the eye can see. Look, look! There are so many pretty girls! It'd be heaven to study here!"

"Skywater Academy doesn't accept boys, but it sure is a feast for the eyes. Look at all those beautiful legs. Amazing."

A few Godwind boys chatted lecherously.

Feng Xiaotian, standing in the middle of the group, reminded them, "Hey, you guys. Could you watch your manners?"

The Godwind students entered, and soon spotted Ye Wen and Evil Tiger in Skywater's seating area.

One of the students who'd been chatting earlier was dumbfounded. "Wait, didn't they say Skywater doesn't accept male students? What are those two doing here?"

"Whoa, male students at Skywater Academy? How would I know?!"

"Holy crap, is that for real? Damn, those two are so lucky! I'm so freaking jealous!"

The Godwind students were shocked to see Ye Wen and Evil Tiger.

"Male students at Skywater?"

Feng Xiaotian couldn't help taking another couple of looks, but he knew that if Skywater had made an exception to admit boys, they must have exceptional talent.

"That guy must be Feng Xiaotian, right?" Ye Wen looked toward him.

With his upright white hair and black mask, Feng Xiaotian looked exactly like Ye Wen remembered. He recognized him at a glance.

Feng Xiaotian had already entered the Advanced Soul Master Academy.

Their eyes met briefly, then they looked away.

Soon, Godwind took their seats, and the Dean continued calling out, "Next, please welcome Blazing Fire Academy!"

Among the Blazing Fire students, a girl with fiery red hair stood out. This was Huo Wu, one of Blazing Fire Academy's future core members and its most talented student.

She had a top-tier fire-attribute Martial Soul, Fire Shadow, and was a Control System Soul Master. She was fourteen years old, had 32nd-level Soul Power, and was an Advanced Soul Master Academy student.

Huo Wu was stunningly beautiful, every bit as lovely as Shui Bing'er. Her dark red hair, fair skin, and large eyes with a faint silver gleam made her stand out in her fiery red uniform, like a blazing flame.

Most notably, she had a very full chest—about a D cup. Of course, that wasn't the point.

Standing beside Huo Wu was her older brother, Huo Wushuang, the future captain of the Blazing Fire Team. His Martial Soul was a Unicorn Fire Dragon. He was sixteen years old and had 34th-level Soul Power.

Soon, the Blazing Fire students took their seats. They, too, were surprised when they saw Ye Wen and Evil Tiger.

"Next, please welcome Elephant Armor Academy!"

"Finally, please welcome Thunder Academy!"

The most eye-catching student in Thunder Academy was Yu Tianxin.

Yu Tianxin belonged to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, one of the Upper Three Sects and a major sect among the seven great sects on the continent. He was one of the most outstanding young members of the clan.

He was known as one of the Twin Stars. The other was Yu Tianheng, who was currently studying at Heaven Dou Royal Academy.

Yu Tianxin was fourteen years old, had 32nd-level Soul Power, and possessed the top-tier Beast Martial Soul, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon.

The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon was one of the finest Beast Martial Souls on the continent. This Soul Beast was exceptionally powerful. Its Martial Soul's unique trait was that, starting at level 30, one part of the body underwent Dragon Transformation for every ten levels gained.
