• Zhang Yang awakened a mutated Borsalino Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power, refused Su Yuntao’s offer to join Spirit Hall, and persuaded Tang San to attend the academy.
• Zhang Yang and Tang San enrolled at Nuoding Academy, became Master’s disciples, and hunted their first Soul Rings, with Zhang Yang gaining Elementalization and Tang San absorbing a Mandala Snake ring.
• Zhang Yang defeated Xiao Chenyu and Xiao Wu, then used Elementalization to beat Dai Mubai before he and Tang San reached Shrek Academy.

Zhang Yang faced Sword Douluo’s tests to remain with Ning Rongrong while Shrek trained at the Great Soul Arena and moved to a new academy. The arc ended with Zhang Yang recovering from Dugu Bo’s attack after Tang San went with Dugu Bo to study poison.

• Zhang Yang protected Xiao Wu’s secret from Erming, then helped her rejoin the others while Tang San absorbed a Man Faced Demon Spider Soul Ring.

After reaching Rank 50, he absorbed a powerful fifth Soul Ring, awakened Kenbunshoku Haki, and began testing his new abilities against a hunting group.

• Master proposed that Zhang Yang absorb a Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Ring, and Zhang Yang defeated a Martial Ape to gain its ring and golden Torso Bone.
