Tang San and his companions defeated the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, completing the Sea God’s Eighth Trial, while Zhang Yang helped the sects flee Heaven Dou and attacked Spirit Hall’s forces. Tang San began the Sea God inheritance as Zhang Yang entered the Sun God inheritance trial.

• Zhang Yang defeated Dugu Bo in their duel, killed Pufferfish Douluo, and completed the Sea God’s Ninth Trial, while Tang San’s allies took Dugu Bo in and treated him.
• Xue Qinghe admitted his connection to Spirit Hall, prompting the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to relocate and Tang San’s allies to prepare for Heaven Dou’s changing rule.
• Xue Qinghe declared Spirit Hall the state religion of Heaven Dou, and Tang San and Zhang Yang helped the Tang Sect evacuate before attacking the Martial Soul Sacred Hall.
• Tang San restored his mother and Tang Hao, reunited with the Clear Sky Sect, and later led his companions to challenge the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.
• Tang San and Zhang Yang fought the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King until Tang San killed it, then Tang San shared its energy with his companions and absorbed its Million-Year Soul Ring.
• Tang San returned to Sea God Island and began the Sea God inheritance with Bo Saixi, while Zhang Yang returned to Heaven Dou and killed several Spirit Hall Titled Douluo, including Golden Crocodile Douluo and Sacred Dragon Douluo.
• Zhang Yang entered the Sun God inheritance, reached the Sun God Hall, and began a trial in which the first of his seven Soul Bones transformed into a radiant javelin.
