Background / History

Xiao Wu is a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soft Bone Rabbit whose mother, Ah Rou, was hunted by Bibi Dong. She entered the human world to grow stronger, seek revenge, and eventually live peacefully with Tang San. Her attachment to Tang San, however, becomes a competing priority alongside her vengeance against Martial Soul Hall 26.

While attending Shrek Academy, Xiao Wu receives an exclusive copy of Yu Tiancheng's diary. Its knowledge of the future convinces her that Martial Soul Hall is an enemy of both humans and Soul Beasts; she resolves to meet Yu Tiancheng and potentially aid his efforts against the organization for the sake of herself, Tang San, Da Ming, and Er Ming 3 5.

The diary publicly exposes her Soul Beast identity and her mother's death, leaving her frightened, isolated, and vulnerable to Soul Masters seeking a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone. Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing nevertheless affirm their loyalty to her 26.

After learning that Tang Hao had been watching her, Xiao Wu recognizes the danger of being a transformed Soul Beast and commits herself to becoming strong enough to protect herself 74. Later, diary revelations make her question whether her hatred of Martial Soul Hall and her relationship with Tang San were shaped by a larger predetermined scheme 91.

Following Shrek Academy's disbandment and Tang San's departure for the City of Slaughter, Xiao Wu hides alone in the Star Dou Great Forest for several months. Tang San eventually finds her after becoming the Asura God's successor, but his blood-red eyes, killing intent, and violent methods make her fear that he is no longer the person she knew 123 124 126.
