After greeting the clan members they encountered, the two had practically walked through the entire clan compound.

As they left the clan compound, Uchiha Shikata also mentioned the rather rudimentary Medical Department;

It was mainly managed by the Yamanaka Clan, with an analysis team that explored the memories within enemies' minds;

And an interrogation department for questioning enemy ninja.

The group proceeded to the conference room upstairs. Uchiha Shikata added an extra chair next to the main seat and pulled Uchiha Takeyasu to sit down with him.

Uchiha Takeyasu looked at the four Uchiha members who were also seated below. He could sense considerable strength from them – roughly at the cusp of Elite Jonin transitioning to Kage Level.

Together, if they spared no expense, they would be capable of engaging in a life-or-death struggle with an ordinary Kage Level ninja.

Uchiha Shikata began his introduction, and Uchiha Takeyasu listened attentively.

The Security Department had a total of 69 members, with its structure modeled after the Anbu. The highest position was the Head of the Security Department, unlike the Anbu, which had a deputy.

It was divided into four sub-divisions: East, South, West, and North, each with 17 members. Each sub-division had a captain, who oversaw four squads.

Each squad consisted of four ninja: one squad leader and three squad members.

This was only a small portion of the Uchiha Clan's strength, yet it was enough to fight their way through the current Sarutobi and Shimura Clans seven times over.

Most of their greater strength remained within the clan compound, and these members were considered clan ninja, virtually non-existent in Konoha's ninja registry.

It wasn't that the Uchiha didn't want to transfer their clan ninja to become Konoha ninja. It was that Konoha Jonin inherently possessed the right to participate in politics. Under the active restrictions imposed by the Senju of the Forest, the total number of Jonin from ninja clans was promoted proportionally among the major ninja clans.

This was at least the case for the Uchiha Clan and the Senju of the Forest.

Reforming the Security Department was imperative; the Uchiha couldn't bear the burden alone.

Uchiha Takeyasu planned to reference the Metropolitan Police Department from his previous life. The Uchiha would be the professional group, passing a type of Eastern eiyō exam. Their main daily task would be clocking in, signing in, and enjoying a leisurely retirement.

The members of other ninja clans would be the quasi-professional group, passing a second type of exam, specifically responsible for bowing and apologizing to outsiders. Civilians would be the non-professional group, handling miscellaneous tasks as patrolmen, busy with their duties.

This way, the Uchiha would be freed from the tedious and disliked daily grind, and would have more time to devote to training.
