Background / History

Takeyasu spent much of his early ninja career fighting alone on the margins of the First Ninja World War. Before awakening his Mangekyo, he used increasingly ruthless tactics against Kumogakure ninja; at Two-Tomoe strength, he was nearly trapped by several Jōnin teams and escaped only because a Konoha outpost was nearby. His actions helped ignite the full war between Konoha and Kumogakure. 1

At sixteen, he awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan amid a corpse-strewn battlefield by spending 1,000 Ascension Points. The evolution transformed his Three-Tomoe Sharingan into a Kage-level power greater than an ordinary Kage, while his system rated his overall combat strength as Strong Kage. 1

He intervened in the Land of Hot Water during the attempted Konoha–Kumogakure peace negotiations. There, he killed Shimura Danzō, Kagami Uchiha, Torifu Akimichi, Utatane Koharu, Mitokado Homura, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Senju Tobirama, and the Second Raikage; he later fought Kinkaku and Ginkaku to a standstill. 4 6 13 18

Takeyasu is intensely ambitious, convinced that strength, prestige, and background are the prerequisites for becoming Hokage—and that he alone fulfills all three. He pursues power with little remorse for those he kills, viewing enemies and obstacles as resources for his ascent. 13

He is calculating as well as violent. He manipulates political rivals, uses Tachibana’s gossipy nature for intelligence, exploits the Security Department’s authority against the Sarutobi Clan, and turns Konoha’s development into a means of gathering Ascension Points. 2 28 37

Despite his ruthlessness, he has moments of self-awareness. After exterminating the ape tribe of Monkey Mountain, he recognizes that his bloodlust needs control and considers cultivating his character. He also values capable loyalty, respecting Torifu Akimichi’s willingness to stand behind his comrades even as he kills him. 6 8
