Yuzuru drew in a sharp breath through his nose. Once he felt his lungs were full, he exhaled the air in his chest along with his chakra:

A wave of orange-red fire rushed toward the enemy. Once the technique was underway, he began mixing Natural Energy into his chakra, steadily increasing the proportion of Natural Energy as the technique continued.
Compared to chakra, Natural Energy was easier to replenish, so he needed to increase his output.
As Yuzuru poured it out without restraint, the wave of fire he exhaled changed from orange-red to pale yellow, then finally to a searing white... The flames' temperature was visibly rising.

Following up a Fire Release with a Wind Release was practically a reflexive combination of Elemental Ninjutsu.
The flames spread even farther, turning the area forty or fifty meters ahead into a sea of fire.
"Yuzuru, you... Is it really okay to use your Ninjutsu like this?" Kiba stared at the vast expanse of flames before them, both shocked and worried.
The Fire Release had certainly been effective over such a wide area, but it consumed far too much chakra. It was clearly an inefficient way to fight.
