Background / History

A month before the story begins, the original Yuzuru is gravely wounded on the battlefield. While recovering, his body becomes inhabited by the soul of an ordinary young man from Earth. He awakens as a sixteen-year-old civilian-born Konoha Genin from the orphanage, with little prospect of surviving the Second Shinobi World War through conventional means. 1

His sole advantage is a dungeon-like system that manifests his abilities as levels and grants rewards from isolated instances. In the Nine-Tails' Rampage instance, he targets the Fourth Hokage and returns with a dramatic increase in combat ability, including an elite Body Flicker Technique and the Rasengan. 1 2

After leaving the front-line hospital, Yuzuru is assigned to Torifu Akimichi's reconnaissance squad alongside Kairi Omori and Hazuki Uchiha.
