Background / History

Lin Qi was raised in Holy Spirit Village, where he awakened Innate Full Soul Power and a sword-type Martial Soul during the annual awakening ceremony. At the same time, he obtained the Background Suppression System, which bound Tang San as a target and rewarded Lin Qi with favor from the Douluo Plane Consciousness. His initial rivalry with Tang San was immediate, as both possessed extraordinary talent. 1

The system rewarded him with a second Martial Soul, the Body of Fortune, a body-type Martial Soul protected by heaven, earth, and living things. Its effects include enhanced perception, extreme luck, turning calamities into fortune, and receiving opportunities in dangerous circumstances. Lin Qi demonstrated these effects early by finding Gold Soul Coins and sharing them with Village Chief Jack. 2

At Nuoding Academy, Lin Qi declined Yu Xiaogang’s invitation to enter with him, displaying an independent and unruly disposition. He later bound Xiao Wu through the system and formed the relationship that would develop into a master-servant partnership. 6 8
