• Samantabhadra Bodhisattva revealed himself and urged Tang Sanzang to seek a Quasi-Saint to rescue his disciples, but Tang dismissed him and disappeared.

After the dead king appeared in Tang Sanzang’s dream and asked for help, Tang sent Sun Wukong to the underworld to verify the king’s account before acting against Quanzhen.

• Sun Wukong told Tang Sanzang that Quanzhen had ended a drought in Wuji Kingdom and later disappeared, after which Daoism flourished under the king’s rule.
• Tang Sanzang showed Baolin Temple’s abbot his Travel Document and secured lodging and a meal for his group.

• Tang Sanzang comforted Red Boy after his father, the Bull Demon King, scolded him, while Sun Wukong and his companions discussed finding Red Boy a master.
