Background / History

Xiao Wu's mother, also a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, was hunted by Martial Soul Hall and sacrificed herself to protect Xiao Wu. Xiao Wu entered the human world intending to become stronger and eventually avenge her mother. 24 41

Her hopes changed after Li Yifei demonstrated the restoration of dead Blue Silver Grass. Believing that the same power might offer a chance to bring back her mother, Xiao Wu directly asked whether he could resurrect her. 24

Xiao Wu initially remained emotionally attached to Tang San, whom she considered a close friend. She enjoyed his care and had once been ready to return with him to Holy Soul Village. However, after learning that Tang San was the Asura God's chosen protagonist and that his future path was connected to Spirit Hall's destruction, she began questioning where her loyalties belonged. 35 40

She ultimately chose the possibility of reviving her mother over her debt to Tang San and set out toward Heaven Dou City to seek Li Yifei. 41 51

Tang Hao intercepted her on the road, knocked her unconscious, and intended to preserve her for a future sacrifice to Tang San.
