Background
Li Xin transmigrated to Douluo Continent centuries before the main events. Using a “golden finger,” he summoned heroes from King’s Canyon one by one and became their sole king and leader. Their arrival reshaped the continent: Wu Zetian founded Great Tang in its center, Haiyue established an empire in the far north, and Mozi rebuilt Jixia Academy around Mechanism Arts and Soul Tools. 1
He spent years in seclusion merging divine and demonic power. When he emerged, the Light God-Demon and Dark God-Demon had fully merged, raising him above the God King realm. 1 Although Wu Zetian publicly ruled Great Tang, Li Xin was its true power behind the scenes and also supervised Haiyue Empire, Mo Family Mechanism City, and the Wonderful Sound Workshop. 16
Appearance
Li Xin is depicted as a handsome young man whose presence shifts from relaxed indifference to overwhelming imperial pressure.
- Red hair worn long over his shoulders. 64
- Left eye glows gold; right eye has a crimson pupil. 1
- Often wears dark or dark-gold robes; appears in dark-gold full-body armor during the Martial Soul Ranking broadcast. 64
- Carries a longsword or broad giant sword associated with his light-and-dark power. 1 73
- His Light God-Demon and Dark God-Demon Martial Souls manifest as immense guardian-like figures behind him. 64
Personality
Li Xin is composed, confident, and dismissive of opponents he considers beneath him. He treats threats from figures such as the Asura God, Tang San, and the continent’s competing powers as matters to be handled at his preferred time rather than immediate dangers. 1 49 89
He is highly strategic. Rather than ally with either Tang Sect or Martial Soul Hall, he initially chooses to let them weaken one another, then resolves to impose a unified order on the continent. His stated goal is “one written language, one standardized track,” with Great Tang as the continent’s sole voice. 8 50
Despite his cold decisiveness in war, Li Xin shows affection and protectiveness toward his close companions, especially Wu Zetian, Gongsun Li, and Jing. 1 8 49
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Li Xin possesses the Light God-Demon and Dark God-Demon Martial Souls, ranked first on the Heavenly Dao Martial Soul Ranking. They were not naturally separate Martial Souls: Heavenly Dao forcibly divided his original power because no single Martial Soul could contain it. 63 64
- Balances sacred golden light and abyssal dark-purple demonic energy. 1
- The Light God-Demon embodies the origin of light and can create life across barren celestial terrain. 84
