Chad was about to close the door when two figures suddenly appeared in the distance.
"I was wondering why a gambling addict like you had been behaving yourself lately. I couldn't find you at any of the usual spots..."
"So someone really was tipping you off."
A young man's voice rang out as the two drew closer.
Chad warily looked over and saw figures who matched the description given by the person who had just tipped him off.
A tattooed boy who looked young, and a blond figure walking beside him.
The moment he saw the two, Chad realized they were the very people who had been looking for him.
"Bounty hunters?" Chad asked, as if he meant to strike up a conversation with them. But before he could finish speaking, he shot off like an arrow drawn taut.
Not toward the two of them, but in the opposite direction, where no one stood.
He clearly had no intention of fighting and wanted to escape.
As he fled, he stole a glance back over his shoulder.
But the two figures showed no sign of pursuing him. They simply stood where they were.
"Just a B-Class..." Su Wu stared at the figure fleeing down the road, about to disappear at its far end.

He barely seemed to move, yet a gigantic, frost-colored ice blade, wreathed in cold vapor, appeared out of thin air behind Chad and struck him hard.
