High above, the Cloud Dragon zipped through the sky like an airplane, the biting cold air chilling one to the bone.
Dio and the other vampires were clad in cloaks, beneath which they wore tight, UV-resistant combat suits to prevent dying from the sun's rays.
"We're almost there. The target is about ten kilometers ahead."
Joestar gazed into the distance, faintly spotting a large number of low-rise buildings.
"Purple Hermit never makes mistakes."
Ant-like figures scurried within the buildings. These must be the penned-up human cattle, used to provide fresh blood for the vampires.
"Everyone hold on tight. I'll find a hidden spot to land."
Dawn piloted the Cloud Dragon, setting everyone down before commanding it to return to the sky.
After a simple disguise, the group headed towards the human cattle area.
In the human cattle gathering area, Mista, cloaked to conceal his face, cautiously navigated the breeding grounds.
The stench of the place plunged him into memories. Once upon a time, he wasn't alone; he had trusted companions.
From birth, he had lived in dire straits until he met Bucciarati and joined the Punisher Squad.
The so-called Punisher Squad was established by Bucciarati, who gathered trustworthy individuals from the breeding grounds and formed a Stand user combat team using the Insect Arrow.
Bucciarati's parents had died due to the vampires' insatiable thirst for blood, instilling in him a deep hatred for vampires from a young age.
By chance, while scavenging in ruins, Bucciarati cut his finger and awakened his Stand, Sticky Fingers.
The ability of Sticky Fingers made Bucciarati realize that only the power of a Stand could counter vampires.
Bucciarati found the object that had cut him: a shard of an Arrow. A damaged scarab beetle clutched the arrowhead, glittering blindingly gold in the sunlight.
From then on, Bucciarati secretly formed the Punisher Squad, recruiting trustworthy teammates for assassination missions against vampires.
Alas, the tide of events could not be turned.
"Ah!!!"
A sharp scream snapped Mista back to reality. He instinctively pulled his hood tighter and cautiously looked towards the sound.
The door of a dim house was wide open. A vampire in a sharp suit sat on a chair, a clear slap mark on his face, glaring somewhat angrily at the girl outside.
The girl was disheveled, her pink hair matted with dirt, making her appearance unclear. Only her eyes were exceptionally bright.
She seemed to sense Mista's gaze and turned to look at him.
Mista lowered his head and tugged at his hood.
The vampire, wary of the sunlight, fixed his gloomy gaze on the woman and said, "Did I give you permission to leave? Come back!"
The girl clutched the wound on her neck, blood trickling from the bite marks. Fear flashed in her eyes, but she dared not disobey again, slowly walking back towards the vampire.
Mista took a deep breath, his palm rubbing the gun hidden beneath his cloak. The thick calluses gave him a sense of security.
"No, I can't interfere. My mission is to find Trish, or find her corpse. Things like this happen every day..."
Struggle flickered in Mista's eyes.
"Bang!"
A loud noise made Mista look again. He saw the vampire fly backward, screaming, smashing through the wooden door and landing in the sunlight.
"Ahhhhhh!!!"
The vampire's body dissolved, turning to dust in an instant, leaving no trace in this world as if he had never existed.
The girl walked out of the room. The surrounding human cattle began to flee in all directions, clearing the area in a flash.
"Mista, when did you become so cowardly?"
The girl, no, Trish, opened her bright eyes, which sparkled with light, and looked at Mista with a smile.
"Trish."
Mista stared at the girl before him in shock. Trish was still alive? How had she managed it?
With the Punisher Squad almost wiped out, Mista had been hiding, forced to use the Insect Arrow again to finally shake off his pursuers and escape with his life.
Why was Trish unharmed?
"Surprised? Don't forget, my father is the leader of the vampires here. Using that, I managed to deceive the pursuers."
Mentioning her father, Trish quickly began to grit her teeth.
"Diavolo, traitor to humanity! I will kill him myself!"
"Kill who?"
Dawn emerged from behind a tarp, looking curiously at the girl.
"Kill him?"
King Crimson's figure appeared in mid-air, chin raised, its arrogant gaze fixed on Trish and Mista.
Diavolo in his mind was equally bewildered. He was seeing his own daughter, and this vague sense of blood connection felt truly strange.
Trish and Mista faced them like they were facing a great enemy. Mista, in particular, drew his gun with lightning speed, aiming for Dawn's head.
"Who is it?!"
"King Crimson? Trish, be careful!"
Mista was about to shoot, but Diavolo had anticipated this and entered his time erasure state.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Three shots were fired in quick succession. The explosive bullets passed through Dawn's figure and hit the wall, causing a violent explosion.
As the smoke cleared, three large craters appeared on the wall.
Mista switched his grip on his gun, his trembling hands quickly reloading, and he raised it to shoot again.
"The World!"
Dio appeared like a phantom. In the frozen world, he walked up to Mista and roughly snatched his gun away.
"Time, resume flowing."
Dio stood behind Dawn, one hand on Dawn's chest and the other with fingers spread to cover his face, striking a strange pose.
"My gun, when did..."
Mista's eyes darkened. He hadn't noticed his gun disappear at all. The enemy's Stand was this powerful.
Next time, would his head be the one to disappear?
"That guy also seems to be a vampire."
Thinking of Diavolo lurking in the shadows, Mista's mood was like a roller coaster.
It seemed he had no choice but to use that...
Trish stood in front of Mista, assuming a fighting stance, her eyes resolute.
Unlike the Trish of the main world, this Trish's fighting will was incredibly strong, incomparable to ordinary people.
"Mista, you go quickly. Leave here with the hope of the Punisher."
After saying that, Trish charged at Dawn without hesitation, prepared to die.
"Trish, if only I had discovered the secret of the Insect Arrow sooner, no one would have died..."
Mista reached for his neck, took out the Insect Arrow necklace, and his eyes turned ferocious.
"You damn vampire scum, witness what true power is!!!"
Mista raised the Insect Arrow necklace high and stabbed it fiercely into his chest. Instantly, a blinding white light erupted.
Dawn's eyelids twitched; he had a bad feeling.
"It really is... an Insect Arrow fragment?"
The white light vanished, and a scarab beetle mark appeared on Mista's forehead. His Stand also underwent a drastic change.
Sex Pistols - Requiem.
"After my team members died, I overcame my psychological barrier towards the number four and grew."
"The Insect Arrow acknowledged me."
Sex Pistols floated in mid-air, exuding a fierce aura. It had transformed into a muscle-bound behemoth with eyes full of brutality.
Mista no longer felt any sense of urgency. He raised his hand, making a gesture as if holding a pistol.
"You will bear my karma and perish on your journey to find me."
After saying this, as if completing a ritual, Mista raised his hand and aimed it at his own temple.
"See you next time."
