"Cleanse your heart and mind, and start anew."
Dawn gently patted the other person's back, pulling Hewitt up.
Rohan Kishibe pursed his lips, eventually putting away his pen without saying anything.
The three of them left the dungeon.
Diavolo saw Hewitt approaching and didn't show much vigilance.
According to him, everyone who had been persuaded by the leader sincerely recognized their mistakes.
Even if the person later became a vampire, their inner beliefs would remain unshaken, and they could even use their beliefs to temporarily suppress their bloodlust.
Diavolo found Rohan Kishibe, and the two returned to the stone house to discuss the next course of action.
Dawn, meanwhile, returned to his room to rest.
Hewitt followed, offering to help clean the room, but Dawn waved him off. Frustrated, Hewitt went to find Rohan Kishibe to ask for a place to stay.
Dawn returned to his residence, closed the door, and sprawled on the bed, feeling completely relaxed and at ease.
This battle was undeniably dangerous, with his nerves on edge the entire time, especially when Diavolo was aging and he had to face the onslaught alone.
Honestly, the pressure Hewitt initially brought was quite strong. He was the only human among a group of vampires, holding the power of life and death over them; it was clear he wasn't simple.
He stole lifespan and was immortal. If he hadn't thought of breaking the hourglass and letting the sand flow out in large quantities, it would have been difficult to deal with.
"I haven't drawn my ability for today yet. Let's see how lucky I am."
Dawn sat up and, with a thought, activated:
[Stand: Beyond Imagination]
Activate!
Flowing, colorful Chinese characters appeared. Dawn, familiar with the process, raised his arm and snapped his fingers with a short, crisp sound.
Snap!
The characters froze, and a captivating purple halo illuminated the room, also lighting up Dawn's slightly curious face.
Purple.
Dawn's heart leaped with joy. He straightened his posture, rubbed his eyes, and looked closely.
[Stand: Beyond Imagination - Upgrade]
[When this ability is activated, it consumes the user's mental energy to temporarily upgrade the target Stand. The amplification strength depends on the target's potential. It cannot be used on the user's main body.]
"Upgrade? World can stop time for nine seconds. I wonder how long it can stop time after upgrading."
Dawn pondered in secret.
"Or maybe this ability is just a small Insect Arrow. Oh well, I'll try it when I get the chance."
Using a fixed ability to lock [Stand: Beyond Imagination - Upgrade], Dawn lay down on the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.
After a short rest, everyone gathered again.
"Our target this time is to find the fragments of the Arrow. Joestar, tell us your intel."
Joestar nodded at the words and summoned his Stand, Purple Hermit.
"During the last operation, I accidentally broke a camera with Purple Hermit and learned about the Arrow."
Joestar took out a smartphone and, on the spot, activated Purple Hermit to pierce into the phone's interior.
The phone screen began to flicker, eventually piecing together a dimly lit photograph.
The photo showed a figure with their back to the camera, wearing a black beret and a cropped jacket, with an Italian mafia-like style.
The figure was holding a revolver. The caliber of the gun was astonishingly large; it looked more like a hand cannon than a pistol.
Dawn stroked his chin, finding the person increasingly familiar.
"Is this... Mista?"
Dawn asked in surprise. The Diavolo in his mind confirmed it.
"It is indeed Mista, but the color of his clothes is different, and the caliber of the gun is a bit larger."
"Dawn, do you know this person?"
Joestar seemed surprised. Rohan Kishibe, seeing this, quickly changed the subject.
He didn't want too many people to know about Dawn's identity as a visitor from another world.
"Alright Joestar, tell us what you found."
Joestar rubbed the back of his head, then pointed at the photo. "This person must have information about the Arrow. My Purple Hermit never makes mistakes. We just don't know his location right now."
"That's simple."
Dawn snapped his fingers, activating [Stand - Beyond Imagination - Upgrade].
The target: Purple Hermit.
The upgrade activated smoothly. Dawn only felt a small amount of his mental energy being drained, leaving him feeling somewhat out of sorts.
At the same time, Purple Hermit underwent a drastic change.
Tiny purple arcs of electricity flickered around it, and the sound of crackling filled the air.
A strong wind swept through the room, forcing everyone to steady themselves in surprise. Dio looked towards Dawn.
Dawn returned his smile, signaling him to remain calm.
Purple Hermit seemed to come alive, actively detaching from Joestar. It twisted its body in the air, its form becoming thick and robust.
"Purple Hermit?!"
Joestar stared at Purple Hermit in shock, as if seeing his own Stand for the first time.
Purple Hermit's net-patterned, python-like body was incredibly eerie. However, it didn't rampage or attempt to attack. Instead, it continued its reconnaissance.
This time, a global map appeared on the phone, marking everyone's locations with small green dots. In Italy's direction, a small red dot flashed.
"Is that the location?"
Dio approached, his probing gaze sweeping over Dawn. He saw through it but didn't say anything.
Dawn's abilities were truly numerous. Time Erasure, Cloud Dragon, and now he could even strengthen other Stand users.
It was inconceivable.
Every time Dio thought things had reached a dead end, Dawn always managed to surprise him.
"No doubt about it, our next target is Italy."
Dawn lit a cigarette, pushed Hewitt, who had moved closer, away, and closed his eyes to rest.
The effects of the upgrade were extremely significant. Purple Hermit, which had been like a hemp rope, had directly transformed into a large python, and its abilities had been enhanced on an epic scale.
Previously, it took strenuous effort to smash a camera to get a photo. Now, with just a light touch, it could pinpoint locations globally without discrimination.
Overall, the mental energy consumed was entirely worth this enhancement. If it were used on Dio, he couldn't imagine how much stronger Stand - The World could become.
"We don't have time to waste. Kars could find us at any moment. Let's leave now."
Despite saying this, Rohan Kishibe found himself in a predicament.
Italy was on the other side of the sea. Given their current status as fugitives, forget flying; they'd be swarmed the moment they stepped outside.
If they were unlucky enough to encounter Kars, a total wipeout was possible.
Kars's immortality wasn't a trick like Hewitt's use of a Stand; it was true immortality.
Infinitely adaptable, it could instantly evolve to suit the attack and environment, even maintaining bodily activity in space.
"Don't worry. Cloud Dragon's size has recovered significantly. We can ride Cloud Dragon to Italy."
Dawn exhaled a puff of smoke. He was quite curious to meet the Mista from the parallel world.
He just wondered if he would be able to meet Bucciarati and the others.
