"Big sis, someone's coming to visit you at noon today. Absolutely don't show yourself, or something bad will happen."
Emporio peeked his head out from a crack in the wall, cautiously warning her.
Jolyne looked bewildered. Having been on her own since she was little, who would come to visit her?
Keeping the matter in mind, Jolyne blinked and looked again. Emporio's figure had vanished.
"Strange, how can there be a child in prison?"
Tap~ tap~ tap~
The sound of a prison guard's footsteps approached. Jolyne pondered for a moment, not wanting trouble, and turned to leave.
Dawn, dressed in a prison guard uniform and with a gun at his hip, walked along the corridor with a relaxed expression.
"Hey~ Jolyne."
Dawn greeted Jolyne. Jolyne was taken aback. Sensing Dawn's friendliness, she subconsciously nodded.
The two passed each other, walking further and further apart. Jolyne thought to herself, "This prison guard is really friendly. He doesn't look fierce at all."
After walking a distance, Jolyne came to her senses.
"Wait, I don't recognize this face. How does he know my name?"
Jolyne was troubled, feeling even more resistant to the upcoming visit.
Dawn's peripheral vision caught a small figure, and a smile curved his lips.
"King Crimson."
Time Erasure activated. Emporio, who had been peeking from the crack, continued his actions until he was fully visible, standing there blankly.
"Time, resume."
Emporio snapped back to reality. A prison guard stood before him, his tall frame casting a shadow that enveloped him completely.
"I'm exposed!"
Emporio turned to rush back into the wall's crack. He had only intended to observe, but he hadn't expected to emerge entirely.
Diavolo had been watching closely. Now, controlling King Crimson, he smoothly grabbed Emporio by the back of his collar and lifted him up.
"Children shouldn't get involved in adult matters, Emporio. You're not being good."
Dawn took out a candy and offered it to Emporio, pointing at the crack in the wall.
"Aren't you going to invite me in for a sit-down?"
Emporio frowned. He didn't want to expose his Stand's abilities.
Dawn ran his hand over the wall's crack and was sucked into it, entering a brand-new room.
"Setting fire to houses, quite a good Stand."
Dawn picked up a drink from the Ghost Room and took a sip. The drink passed through his throat and spilled, allowing him only to taste it.
After a short while, the top of Dawn's head distorted, and a large amount of Chinese text appeared, flashing rapidly.
Seeing this, Dawn's heart stirred, and he took out the Insect Arrow pendant.
He hadn't tested the Insect Arrow's abilities these past few days. One reason was that the enemies were too weak, and the other was that Dawn wasn't confident.
He wasn't sure if he had gained the Insect Arrow's approval.
However, based on his experiences in the Hypothetical Universe, Dawn guessed that the probability of him being recognized was very high.
He had accomplished the feat of defeating Kars and saving humanity. If he still couldn't use the Insect Arrow, Dawn couldn't figure out what else he needed to do.
Pressing down with his finger, Dawn felt resistance. His heart moved, and he increased the force.
The resistance grew stronger, and the two were locked in a stalemate. After a moment, the Insect Arrow seemed to compromise, piercing Dawn's finger smoothly.
Instantly, a blinding light erupted, illuminating the entire Ghost Room.
Emporio let out terrified whimpers and stumbled backward until he hit King Crimson's leg, where he stopped.
The light seemed extremely unstable and quickly receded. The text above Dawn's head scrolled rapidly, occasionally flashing and distorting into unnamable shapes.
[Beyond Imagination Requiem]
At this moment, the distortion of the text made Dawn realize that this was the result of forcibly using Requiem. Without time to think, he snapped his fingers.
Snap!
The distorted text froze.
It flickered twice, and the text returned to normal.
Golden text appeared, floating quietly.
[Stand: Beyond Imagination: Yesterday Once More]
[Activate this ability to copy any target contacted twelve hours prior. Duration: four hours. The target will completely obey the user's commands.]
Disappointment flashed in Dawn's eyes. Was Beyond Imagination Requiem only this powerful?
Just as Dawn was about to test this ability, the dormant Insect Arrow revived, and a sudden change occurred!
The Insect Arrow pendant flew into the air, burrowed into the golden text above Dawn's head, and disappeared without a trace.
The golden text twisted again, gradually fading, and three pale options appeared before Dawn.
[Option 1: Increase Upper Limit]
[Option 2: Try Again]
[Option 3: Ability Metamorphosis]
"Is this... Requiem's true ability?"
Dawn's heart leaped with joy as he carefully considered the options.
"Try Again, with no guarantee."
"Ability Metamorphosis? That's interesting."
"Increase Upper Limit... Could it turn into Crimson?!"
Dawn gently clicked, choosing to increase the upper limit.
The text faded, and [Stand: Beyond Imagination: Yesterday Once More] reappeared.
A speck of red light emerged from the golden halo, rapidly devouring the golden light until it was completely transformed into Crimson.
[Stand: Beyond Imagination: Yesterday Once More]
[Activate this ability to temporarily evade fate's scrutiny, forcibly intercept individuals with a bond to the user from the river of time and space, bring them into reality, turn stillness into motion, and reverse death into rebirth.]
[Note! If an object forcibly remains in reality, it will cause a terrifying spacetime paradox, leading to one of the following three situations occurring randomly.]
[Situation 1: The past world collapses!]
[Situation 2: The main world's fate becomes chaotic!]
[Situation 3: An unknown fusion occurs!]
Dawn stared blankly at the introduction before him. As expected, none of the Crimson-level abilities were useless.
However, the price was as steep as ever.
[Beyond Imagination: If] could create new universes, but those universes would be ruthlessly annihilated once the user left, including their fates.
[Beyond Imagination: Yesterday Once More] directly bypassed fate and touched the river of time and space, but it would lead to extremely severe consequences.
"It's a pity that in the Hypothetical Universe, leaving doesn't necessarily mean taking things out with me..."
Dawn's heart stirred, and an idea surfaced in his mind.
If he didn't gain any other abilities in this Hypothetical Universe, wouldn't the minimum he could get upon leaving be the Crimson ability - Yesterday Once More?
"Let's try it."
Abandoning Wasting Time, he chose Yesterday Once More.
Dawn secretly decided on his plans and did not attempt to use the ability of Yesterday Once More, as he hadn't figured out how to use it yet.
Emporio looked at Dawn blankly. This person's expressions were so varied; what exactly had just happened?
He looked back towards the exit where the house was being set on fire.
"As long as I reach that spot..."
"Emporio, I don't have time to play with you. Stay here obediently and don't wander off."
Dawn returned to Green Dolphin Prison and checked the time; it was almost time for visiting hours.
"So... let me see what you, who has never been a father, will do."
Dawn pushed open the iron door of the visiting room and stepped inside, his gaze falling on the man sitting in the chair with an invincible expression.
"Jotaro Kujo."
