Background / History

The Soul Clan remained dormant for a thousand years while Hun Tiandi prepared a long-term plan to restore its dominance. With the arrival of the Heavenly Dao Gold Ranking, the clan expected its Hall of Souls branch to secure sect-ranking rewards and sought resources that could enable Hun Tiandi to reach the Dou God realm. 2

The clan maintained its strength through secretive and ruthless methods. Nihility Devouring Flame devoured the last patriarch of the Tunling Clan, obtaining the secret of bloodline longevity, then secretly consumed descendants of ancient Dou God clans to preserve the Soul Clan’s own bloodline. 91 92

Hun Tiandi also planted spies among the upper ranks of rival ancient clans, allowing the Soul Clan to learn of the Six Great Ancient Clans’ plans to protect ranked sects and share their rewards. Rather than openly contest those rewards, he prevented the Hall of Souls from acting, depriving the rival clans of a pretext to intervene. 5

The Soul Clan initially expected the Hall of Souls to rank first among sects, but the Hall instead placed third. Hun Tiandi responded by preparing for war, intending to seize any Emperor-tier pill or equivalent treasure obtained by the top-ranked force. 18 19

Seven Star Palace Expedition

Hun Tiandi led the Soul Clan in an attempt to break the Seven Star Palace’s Sect Protecting Grand Formation at the Meteor God Ice Plain. The attempt failed, the clan could not recruit meaningful outside support, and Six-star Dou Saint Hun Qianmo was killed by the Tian Quan Hall Master. 29 30 31

Ancient-Clan Bloodline Campaign

The Soul Clan targeted the Ling, Shi, and Yao Clans for their Dou God bloodlines and Tou She Ancient God Jades. Its strategy involved Nihility Devouring Flame, the Four Demon Sages, and armies of Dou Saints, Dou Venerates, and Half-Saints. 37 38 40

The Ling Clan’s Spirit Realm vanished before Nihility Devouring Flame’s assault could begin, while the Shi and Yao Clans also relocated through the intervention of the Seven Star Palace. Hun Tiandi ordered a temporary halt to the campaign after all three targets disappeared. 39 40

War for the Ancient Clan’s Source Qi

After receiving Family Ranking rewards, the Soul Clan amassed eight Nine-star Dou Saint combatants and attacked the Ancient Clan, Yan Clan, and Lei Clan alliance to demand a strand of Source Qi of the Emperor. 47 52 53

When negotiations failed, Hun Tiandi deployed the Soul Devouring Death Spirit Array and sacrificed captured living beings to break Gu Sheng City’s defenses. The Seven Star Palace destroyed the formation, rescued the captives, and forced the Soul Clan to retreat. 56 57

Soul Realm Rift and Sealing

A spatial rift appeared in the Soul Realm, carrying the aura of Source Qi of the Emperor. The Soul Clan’s Dou Saints failed to expand it by force and instead guarded it while awaiting developments. 85

The rift later enabled contact with the Ice Demon Clan, allowing Bing Yun to enter the Soul Realm. Xiao Xuan subsequently sealed the realm, trapping both Bing Yun and Hun Tiandi inside. 87 89

Fall of the Soul Clan

The Supreme Ranking exposed the Soul Clan’s past crimes, including its ambushes against Xiao Xuan, Tang Fen, and Dan Feng. As these former victims and other Seven Star Palace powerhouses rose to the Dou God realm, the Soul Clan’s elders recognized that their clan could not survive retaliation. 96 99

Xiao Xuan, Tang Fen, and Dan Feng entered the Soul Realm to settle accounts. Hun Tiandi accepted the inevitability of defeat and was executed by Xiao Xuan; the Soul Clan was subsequently annihilated. 104
