Background / History

The Dou Qi Continent was connected to the Great Thousand World until the Flame Demon Clan located its spatial coordinates after detecting the aura of a fire-attribute supreme treasure. The clan invaded, erected a great sealing formation around the world, and opened spatial channels to support further incursions. 1 102

The continent lacks Emperor Source Qi, a condition that historically prevented its cultivators from advancing beyond the limits of the Dou Emperor realm. Its sealing also prevented Lin Yuan from traveling to the Great Thousand World even after his breakthrough. 1 23

Lin Yuan discovered the Flame Demon Clan’s preparations while traveling with his wife. After eliminating the first scouts at one spatial channel, he established the Seven Star Palace, recruited experts from across the continent, and organized its seven branch halls to guard the channels. The palace and its affiliated forces protected the continent in secret for thousands of years. 1 22 78 102

The Heavenly Dao Gold Ranking later appeared across the continent, publicly revealing hidden sects, clans, geniuses, and supreme experts. Its rewards raised the strength of many local forces and disclosed the existence of realms beyond Dou Emperor. 2 22 102
