After the outline for Source of Magic vanished, I specifically said I'd switch to a new pen name and write original fiction. Don't call me a liar—I really did write it. I made a new account, wrote a thirty-thousand-word opening, and happily submitted it with complete confidence.
Then it got rejected...
So, disheartened, I loafed around at home for two months—eating, drinking, and having fun. It wasn't until the end of September that I got the idea of writing another Harry Potter fanfic, mainly because I hadn't gotten my fill with the last one.
So I got straight to work and wrote another thirty-thousand-word opening—this book, in fact—then confidently submitted it to an editor in the light novel category.
Then it got rejected again...
I immediately felt like the sky was falling. Had I become this much of a piece of trash?
So I loafed around at school for another month—eating, drinking, and having fun.
