In the darkness beyond Shinji's field of vision, an explosion suddenly rang out. Then came the shouts and cries of the ANBU, followed by the whistling of ninjutsu.
"What happened?"
"What's going on?"
"Another attack?"
In an instant, a large number of ANBU, Intelligence Squad, and communications ninja rushed out of the Konoha Military Police Force building.
Shinji, standing at the entrance, pointed toward the secret prison in the distance. "The explosion came from over there. It must be Orochimaru's group! Hurry, gather the troops. We can't let them escape!"
"Yes!"
The Konoha ninja didn't dare delay. One group immediately rushed to provide support, while the others hurried to contact and gather more troops.
Hearing the commotion, Sasuke, who had only recently gotten some rest, rushed out as well.
Coming to Shinji's side, he gazed toward the distant direction of the explosion and asked, "Shinji, what happened?"
Shinji replied calmly, "Orochimaru's group probably started a riot while being transferred to the secret prison."
"What!?" Sasuke exclaimed in shock. "I'm going to check it out. We can't let those bastards escape!"
Shinji stopped Sasuke and gently shook his head.
Sasuke looked puzzled. "Why?"
"Don't rush. I've already sent people to support them!" After a brief pause, Shinji continued, "Orochimaru's group were all sealed before they were taken away. They had no way to resist. The riot over there could very well be the work of other attackers hiding in the village. We're short on manpower right now, and we shouldn't act rashly before we know what we're dealing with."
Sasuke had no choice but to suppress his urge to personally put down Orochimaru.
The communications ninja nearby quietly nodded.
