With a low, muffled thud, Momoshiki, his hands and feet bound by golden chains, crashed hard into the ground, leaving a huge crater!
"Damn it!"
Momoshiki angrily pushed himself upright. Through the dust, he spotted the other end of the chains.
There was no doubt about it: the golden chains were connected to Karin, who had just been struck by several of Momoshiki's Black Rods.
"Huff, huff."
Karin panted lightly, her face drained with exhaustion.
After a fierce battle, she had used up a tremendous amount of Chakra. In particular, to counter the interference the Black Rods caused to the Chakra inside her body, she had expended dozens of times more Chakra than usual just to barely manage Adamantine Sealing Chains and strike back at Momoshiki.
Meanwhile, across from her—
Momoshiki wasn't faring much better. He had used up no less Chakra than Karin, but just now, he had used Sacrificial Pill Refinement to reclaim some of the Chakra Karin had left behind on the Wood Dragon Susanoo, replenishing a little of his depleted reserves.
Climbing out of the crater, Momoshiki first tried tugging at the golden chains around him. Then he let out a quiet gasp, his expression turning grave.
Only then did he realize that the golden chains restraining him must possess some kind of sealing ability. Like the Black Rods, they were suppressing his Chakra.
While Momoshiki tugged at the Adamantine Sealing Chains, Karin endured the pain and began pulling the Black Rods out of her body one by one.
Whoever broke free first would gain the upper hand!
