Konoha Hospital

After taking Kiba to the hospital, Kakashi was still thinking about the Sound Ninja he had just encountered.

Hinata and Shino hurried to the hospital after hearing the news. Kiba had just parted ways with them when he was injured, so neither of them had been there.

Hinata asked anxiously, "Kakashi-sensei, is Kiba going to be okay?"

Kakashi replied gravely, "His injuries are fairly serious, but you can rest assured. The Medical Team is treating him now!"

Shino asked coldly, "Who did this?"

"Ninjas from Otogakure," Kakashi replied.

"Otogakure!?"

Shino was surprised.

He had thought the ones who injured Kiba would be from Kumogakure or Kirigakure, one of the major villages. He never expected a ninja from the obscure Otogakure to be responsible.

Before long, Shizune came out of the ward and said to the people waiting outside, "We've stitched up his wounds, but he'll need to rest for a few days. You can go in and see him now!"

Kakashi entered the ward with Hinata and Shino.

Kiba had already woken up. Akamaru was curled up at the head of his bed, with his hind leg bandaged as well.

Shino hurriedly asked, "What happened? Why did you get into a fight with a ninja from Otogakure?"

Kiba was still fuming. "Those Otogakure guys were so arrogant. I couldn't stand it, so I picked a fight with them!"

Hinata activated her Byakugan to examine Kiba and cried out in shock, "How did you get hurt so badly?"

Kiba lowered his voice. "That Kidomaru from Otogakure really is powerful, though. When I faced him, it felt like I was up against Kimimaro. I didn't stand a chance!"

"Woof!"

Akamaru gave a feeble bark, as if agreeing with Kiba.
