History

Chen Yiban first reveals the terror of the Mangekyō Sharingan during his assault on Konoha. Sasuke senses that Chen’s ocular power is colder and more overwhelming than Itachi’s, while the resonance between their eyes interrupts Chen’s loss of control to Madara’s memories. 6 During the same conflict, Chen takes Kakashi’s transplanted Kamui Sharingan and later acquires Danzō’s collection of ten Three-Tomoe Sharingan alongside Shisui’s Mangekyō. 8 23

After gaining Asura and Hashirama’s powers, Chen’s Eternal Mangekyō evolves into the Rinnegan. He then gathers further Mangekyō abilities—including Kamui and both of Shisui’s eyes—and fuses them into his Six-Tomoe Rinnegan. 33 40 51 57 This ocular evolution continues through Ten-Tails Sage Mode, producing the Nine-Tomoe Rinne Sharingan and later the Nine-Tomoe Rinne Tenseigan. 75 93
