Background

Chen Yiban was an orphan from another world who worked as a delivery driver after leaving high school. He died in a car accident caused by looking at his phone while driving, then became bound to the Achievement Sign-in System. Its free first sign-in gave him the Konoha Founding · Uchiha Madara · Combat Power Template, remaking his body and appearance in Madara’s image while imparting Madara’s power and memories 1.

He entered Konoha intending to create incidents that would earn additional sign-in opportunities through defeating, killing, or subduing powerful people. Although he recognized himself as Chen Yiban, Madara’s inherited memories—particularly those connected to Hashirama Senju—could overwhelm him with battle intent and killing desire 1 2 4.

Chen Yiban initially appears in the form of Founding-Era Uchiha Madara: a tall man in red armor whose appearance is immediately associated with the legendary Uchiha by experienced Konoha shinobi 1 4.

Chen Yiban is driven by a rapidly growing desire for power and actively seeks challenges that can produce achievement draws 1. He is calculating rather than purely impulsive, using clones, intimidation, hostage-taking, and superior knowledge of other shinobi’s abilities to control confrontations 23 43 51.

Madara’s memories complicate this detachment. Hashirama’s name can provoke uncontrollable hostility, while Sasuke’s Sharingan resonance restores his clarity during one such lapse 4 6. He later redirects his ambition toward forced political unification, arguing that a world made to submit to overwhelming strength can achieve lasting peace 47.

Despite his ruthlessness, he invests in talented disciples. He cures Uchiha Seven’s deafness and muteness, restores Uchiha Qiu’s sight, gives both guidance and power, and prefers that Qiu cultivate her own path rather than merely receive a combat template 144 148 149.

Recruitment of Sasuke and Conflict with Obito

After Konoha’s defeat, Chen Yiban becomes the figure Sasuke seeks for power and vengeance. He trains Sasuke through a Wood Clone, subjugates Kurama, and exposes Obito’s identity while displaying Rinnegan and Kamui abilities 34 37 39 41.

Amegakure and Alliance with Madara

Chen Yiban attacks Amegakure, defeats Pain’s forces, captures Konan, and confronts the real Uchiha Madara. After proving capable of matching and surpassing Madara’s techniques, he helps expose Black Zetsu’s deception and convinces Madara to join him in pursuing shinobi-world unification 43 45 47.

Akatsuki Leadership and Fourth Great Ninja War

Creation of Eternity

Following the war and the rise of two Ten-Tails-level Madaras, opposing nations surrender or are crushed. Chen Yiban absorbs Ten-Tails power through All Laws Unite, revives numerous Konoha dead through White Zetsu-based methods, and co-rules the resulting unified nation of Eternity with Madara 76 77.

Uchiha Clan Intervention

In a later Uchiha-centered conflict, Chen Yiban mentors Qiu and Seven, stops the Uchiha massacre from proceeding as planned, and backs the clan’s counterattack against Konoha. When he appears before the Konoha forces, Qiu and Seven openly identify him as their teacher, while the clan recognizes him as Lord Madara 145 154 167 172.
