History

Chen Yiban's invasion

Chen Yiban entered Konoha disguised as founding-era Uchiha Madara after hypnotizing the gate guards. He had come specifically to provoke conflict, defeat powerful shinobi, and earn additional Achievement Sign-in System draws. 1

The confrontation began after Konoha's jonin recognized his Mangekyo Sharingan and Susanoo. Chen manifested a Third Stage Susanoo above a barbecue restaurant, cut the First Hokage's rock statue in half, and defeated the village's initial defenders despite Kakashi's evacuation orders and Might Guy opening the Sixth Gate. 5 7

Konoha escalated its defense under Fifth Hokage Tsunade. More than a thousand shinobi—including the Akimichi, Nara, Yamanaka, and Hyuga clans—assembled, but Chen answered their numerical advantage by creating thirty Shadow Clones, each capable of using a Third Stage Susanoo. 13 14

Fall of Konoha

The defense suffered severe losses throughout the battle:

• Asuma Sarutobi and thirty-two Anbu were killed during the village's combined Earth and Fire Release assault. 11
• Gekko Hayate was captured and killed with his own weapon; Chōji Akimichi was later killed during the Shadow Clone assault. 12 14
• Might Guy opened all Eight Gates and used Night Guy, devastating Konoha's back mountain, but Chen survived and killed him. 18
• Chen implanted his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, killed Uzuki Yugao, and continued overwhelming Tsunade, Kakashi, and the remaining defenders. 19 20

Chen ultimately revealed a Perfect Susanoo exceeding 230 meters in height. Its single sword strike cleaved Konoha in two, killing many shinobi and leaving Jiraiya without his right arm. 25 26 He later controlled Kurama through the Sharingan and used the Nine-Tails' presence to break the defenders' morale. 31

After the fighting subsided, Chen occupied the Hokage Building and reviewed the Achievement draws gained from conquering Konoha. 32

Rule of the Two Madaras

Following Chen's alliance with the real Uchiha Madara and their takeover of Akatsuki, the two returned to Konoha with Akatsuki's members. They declared that Konoha would no longer have a Hokage and would cease to exist as a separate village. 47 50 52

Tsunade's compliance was treated by Chen's system as the subjugation of Konoha Ninja Village. 55 Konoha subsequently assembled more than two thousand elite shinobi, including Root forces, and marched alongside the two Madaras in the Fourth Great Ninja War. 61

Konoha shinobi and Akatsuki members protected Chen and Madara while they prepared the Ten-Tails' transformation, fighting against the Allied Shinobi Forces alongside nearly one hundred thousand White Zetsu. 71

Incorporation into Eternity

After the Allied Shinobi Forces surrendered, all nations and villages were ordered to relocate to the former Land of Fire within three months. Konoha became the center of the resulting super-nation. 75 76

The united country was eventually named Eternity. Under the two Madaras' rule, the former Konoha forces helped establish a stable era, while White Zetsu-based forbidden techniques gradually revived Konoha shinobi who had died during the invasion, including Asuma, Might Guy, Gekko Hayate, and Uzuki Yugao. 77

Military and Governance

• Fifth Hokage Tsunade led Konoha's first defense against Chen, repeatedly rallied the village, and later cooperated with the new regime. 5 19 61
• Konoha's major defending clans included the Akimichi, Nara, Yamanaka, and Hyuga clans. 13

Alternate-Timeline Konoha

In another world reached by Chen, Konoha faced an Uchiha uprising led by Chen's disciples, Uchiha Qiu and Uchiha Seven. The Uchiha clan attacked the Hokage Building while Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi mobilized Anbu and Konoha's major clans for civil war. 160 168

Uchiha Seven slaughtered and injured numerous Konoha shinobi, repelled Fire and Lightning Release with an Uchiha Gunbai, and used Susanoo against Hiruzen, Kakashi, and Might Guy. 170 171 Chen later appeared personally, offered Konoha the choice of obedience or annihilation, and prompted Hiruzen's surrender to avoid civilian casualties. 172 173

Resistance continued through Might Guy's Eight Gates. After Guy's death, Chen used the Rinne Tenseigan to summon the King of Hell, which consumed both the Shinigami and Hiruzen's soul; the remaining Konoha and Uchiha forces then submitted. 177
